  1. It's not automatic. You'll work with your team and devise a program that will work for you. I cannot comment on the thyroid issue. Follow your program and you will lose weight...
  2. 2nd means you have apnea and the second test is to set your cpap levels...
  3. Yep... Protein shakes are for protein and real (chewable) food is for feeling full... Different things, and again each program is different. I am 2 months out and still use shakes.
  4. Yep, what Joia said...
  5. well, you might have a series of things... labs, heart, lungs... but it's all good. And enjoy the scales...
  6. Don't see how this could hurt the sleeve, maybe others can comment. Can't you do the bonfire without marshmallows? It's the fire and the people that are key, right?
  7. GMABAT is soooo right... The scale is a harsh and lying mistress! Unless your stomach will grow back, and if it does you'll hit the news fer sure, you are in this for the rest of your life. our NUT was absolutely wrong. Losing 3 to 5 # every week is NOT sustainable over the long haul. You will lose as and what you will lose. Hang in there, and think about that lying scale...
  8. TOTALLY normal. Fagetabout the scale for a while. Focus on liquids, activity and protein. The scale will take care of itself. PS, like your polish color.
  9. IT'S YOUR HEAD. It's MY head. It's OUR heads!!! The sleeve does what the sleeve does, but it does NOT change our heads. I believe (I do not KNOW, but I believe) that people who slide back have lost the head wars, and have found the many ways to 'cheat the sleeve'. Me... I am pissed at what I've let food do to me. I am better than that. Work on your head and the first corner to turn is to overcome "linging" for your lost love...
  10. o course it works, friend. Activity is activity!!!
  11. hehehe, Laura, you gotta be Some Fun at a dinner party!!!!!
  12. My friends and struggle-mates... This is a great thread! Food has such power over us all. I am learning to HATE what that damned stuff has done to our heads as well as our fat bodies. I gotta say that the longer post-sleeve I am the more I am pissed off and the less I want to worry about "losing my food" Am at the beach with family, and we had a pizza party and I enjoyed all, brought my own food, and loved it. Pizza is SO not worth it, and I'll be damned if I'll let pizza win... Period!
  13. Just wander through the site, there's a whole bunch on band to sleeve revisions. As in all things, some have difficulties, some none, and most somewhere in-between...
  14. re nausea... some have a lot, some have little (lucky me) and others in between. Prepare for the worst and all will be fine
  15. hehehe, you have a polite granddaughter! With me it's little burps...
  16. With my surgical follow-ups, they look at the scars, ask questions and assuming all is AOK, you're outa there. 5 minutes, tops...
  17. man, I've not heard of this before!!! Wonder why???
  18. you'll get a bazillion answers... my program said 30 days, but the majority is whenever you want, but be gentle...
  19. Welcome dude and dudette! Ask (and answer) away!
  20. It's the insanity of your/our insurance... Check with them!
  21. Get a scale and you'll be set! 4 oz (generally think of a tuna fish can)... tuna, canned chicken, canned ham, hummas (lived on hummas). As you can cooked veggies...
  22. I've heard folks mention it! Lay off for a month, and try again... by itself. Might "fix" itself!
