Just starting out

I have been waiting on my doctor to write the neccessity letter. In the meantime, I have been reading everything I can on sleeve surgery. I have been to the seminar and am so excited. I had my thyroid burned out with radioactive iodine about 13 years ago. Since then, my weight has steadily been climbing. Can't seem to regulate my pills. Anyone else have a similar story? How did you do at weight lose? I am worried I will not be able to loose.

It's not automatic. You'll work with your team and devise a program that will work for you. I cannot comment on the thyroid issue. Follow your program and you will lose weight...

Good luck with your procedure. You will love the sleeve. It is the best thing I have ever done. I have had no support groups or seminars only the doctor that performed the surgery and I only see him every three months and he checks my blood work and weight and the rest has been up to me. I was ready and I won't go back :)

Do you also have a thyroid problem?

No. Had it checked prior to the sleeve but it was all ok.
