  1. Jeddah over two years ago.
  2. I only get pain if I have eaten too much and tried to have a sip of a drink. Just take it slowly.
  3. Yes, I have been doing leg exercises ever since and it gets worse. Hopefully it will settle down.
  4. Ok just saw my doctor (who has had the sleeve done and is about two years out so can actually relate) and he said that I need to do more leg exercises and build the muscles up to support the new me. Even though I am not carrying the same weight my muscles need to be strengthened and to try and work on that and see how it goes. He said he had a similar thing with his lower back but it took a while before he could strengthen it. Good luck everyone. Oh and by the way it's my right hip too lol
  5. Thanks everyone. I too am off for a check up today but I think it is just because I am not carrying around all that weight. Unfortunately there are no chiropractors here In Jeddah so will have to wait until I go home to Australia for an adjustment. I will try more stretching. It cannot hurt. As for the exercise, yes it is worse after I have been very active but even quiet days it still hurts. I am not complaining I would not swap this for anything just wondered if anyone else experienced it. Thank you.
  6. I was just wondering if anyone else gets pains in the legs and hips. The pain is deep. Not sure if it is related to my weight loss?
  7. Hi denise33. Just be positive and you will have success. It is not a bad thing. You just need to be ready to adapt to your new way of life. It is just the same as before but in smaller doses. It is the best thing ever
  8. Wow well done. You have to make sure you take your vitamins straight after breakfast or you will be sick. Good luck itch the Zumba
  9. Miz B I know what you mean there are so many supplements to take but no more blood pressure and hopefully one day soon no more cholesterol tablets either. I did not need insulin but was almost at that stage. That was one of the factors that made me decide to have the sleeve done. The pill box is a great way to make sure you are taking all you need.
  10. No. Had it checked prior to the sleeve but it was all ok.
  11. Good luck with your procedure. You will love the sleeve. It is the best thing I have ever done. I have had no support groups or seminars only the doctor that performed the surgery and I only see him every three months and he checks my blood work and weight and the rest has been up to me. I was ready and I won't go back
  12. You will succeed. Give it time. Your shoulder must be getting better and you will be able to get moving again. This is the best tool ever for loosing weight. Just live your life, concentrate on the protein, the hair fall will slow down. I too am having hair loss but it seems to be slowing down now. Life is great
  13. Wow you look great. Well done
  14. I am 8 months out and have a drink when I feel like it. Usually only one. Yes it's empty calories but you know that. You cannot stop living. Enjoy the one and move on.
  15. I am 8 months out and it is the best thing I have done. I have just turned 53.
  16. I sure am. I can do so much more these days.
  17. You look amazing and must feel great too. I know I feel so much better every day.
  18. Thank you everyone. I started at 104kgs and am down to 74kgs. I am just dropping it slowly and steadily. I don't stress if I haven't lost for a week or so as it soon moves again. I eat whatever I want but mainly protein, fruit and veges. I don't count my calories either I have just changed to a more healthy way of eating
  19. I love grilled fish. Just a small amount but easy to get down.
  20. I am now 8 months out and without a doubt this is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I have had amazing support from my family and without my husbands continual support this would not have been possible. I had my sleeve done in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia I am an Australian and have been here now two years. When I decided I needed to do something drastic I went to IMC and sought out the baraiatric centre and made enquiries to see the surgeon. Dr Bukhari was the most amazing doctor. He said he would only do the sleeve and asked me to have a few tests done to make sure everything was ok to proceed. I had the tests done at the end of November and had my operation in December 2012. No pre op diet, no psych tests just let's do it. Dr Bukhari has had the operation himself so can really relate to everything I was going through. The operation was very easy and I have had no complications. I go for check ups every three months, where I have blood tests done to ensure I am getting enough vitamins, iron etc all of which are perfect. I even came off my blood pressure medication about the months ago. To anyone who is contemplating having this procedure done JUST DO IT! I have attached a couple of before photos as well as current photos.
  21. Salaam where are you from? I know what you mean I was sleeved December 8 and really don't get hungry at all but make myself eat my protein and vegetable when I can fit it in after the protein. I too get very light headed especially during the mornings
  22. I am December 8 sleever and have lost 11kg and 40.5cm since my procedure. It is a little slower than I would like but am very happy it's heading in the right direction
  23. Thanks for that information. I have trouble buying vitamins here in Saudi but am heading to Dubai on Wednesday so will do some shopping there. Thanks for the advice.
  24. I know what you mean. I was told just to take the centrum too. Nothing else except nexium twice a day although I feel I only need it in the morning. I am having blood tests run every three months to keep an eye on any deficiency so I suppose I will have to wait and see. What about you. Are you having blood work done?
