    Kinda sad :/

Some questions might be: -- how often do you have to convert from laproscopy to 'open' surgery? -- do you overstitch or glue over the staples? -- how long will I be in the hospital? What else, friends???

    Regaining myself

From what I've read here, everybody has a stall or two or three. Just follow your program, fight head hunger, and... don't weigh yourself for a couple weeks!

    Sabotage

Oh boy, this is hard! Life and relationship stuff is HARD. I am not smart enough to have words of wisdom, but know that we care and want all things in your life to improve. Try to stay away from the comfort of food -- the devil in disguise!

    Feeling REALLY down

Well, the good news is the more you weigh, the faster you generally loose. Just keep moving forward. It may seem like an eternity now, but from "the other side", it'll seem to have only taken a minute!
  5. Mine is OPTIFAST for two weeks before and clear liquids the last two days.
  6. And we are all with you. We have all been there or are going to be there.
  7. Make sure you let your VSG surgical team know too! Your OBGYN will be the BEST source of info. Happy pre-momdom!

  15. When I did the sleep study I woulda bet $100 that I did NOT have sleep apnea. Always woke up early, did not snore (much). Imagine my surprise when it turns out that I had 60 apnea events of more than 10 seconds an hour!!! So short story, I use CPAP, and luckily quickly adjusted. I use the nose mask, and it works well and I feel great.. Woo Hoo!
  16. Haveing had my GB out in the bad old (open surgery) days, I guessed gallbladder by your second paragraph. After you heal, the GB surgery should not affect your relationship with food. (I guess you are going to have the GB removed?). Till then the GB reacts to any fat that you eat... The use of antibiotics can cause altered taste due to changes in perception of the taste buds. This can occur with many antibiotics. Also using so many antibiotics might open you up to developing yeast or fungal infections in the mouth which too can alter the taste. in addition, sometimes many drugs can cause reflux leading to altered taste in the mouth. BUT you need to finish the antibiotics and talk to your MD. It's yucky now, but this too shall pass...
