newat52 got a reaction from woo woo in been rethinking the whole "full disclosure" topic - singles out there?
Not that I am any type of expert on the subject, I have been very happily married for more than 34 years. I guess I'm not sure what you mean by "full disclosure." Are you talking everything or just as it relates to your past obesity? It seems to me like that is just part of your medical history and does not need disclosing, especially early on. I do agree with you in that I would want to know about this potential persons interests, likes, dislikes and such. Get to know them as a person and as the relationship progresses subjects will come up naturally. Let it happen and when the time is right life stories come out. Thats what your past obesity and plastics are. Something that happened in your life but it doesn't define who you are as a person.
Again, not sure if this helps.

Did you see the post a while back where a poster said that a woman from her support group gained all her weight back in 6 months because she used a straw? Seriously. It was the funniest thing I have ever read on here!
Um....no I'm pretty darn sure something else was going in her mouth besides a straw!

I guess for me I just don't give a rats ass about Sharon Osborne or Star Jones. I don't care what their reasons are for telling or not telling. It doesn't matter who you are or how famous or non famous you are. EVERYONE has their own life to live and telling or not telling doesn't make you a better or worse person. It just makes you you. I really don't care if someone says they stand on their head and rubs their belly while doing a yoga pose to lose weight. it REALLY, REALLY doesn't matter to me.
That said, I do think the cancer stories are just Karma waiting to bite someone in the a$$!
Live and let live but when you start messing with such a nasty thing, especially if you have watched someone live and die through it. You are just sick in the head.

    Freezing. All. The. Time.
I wear my cuddle duds all the time and when I sit at home I sit under my electric throw. At night we have an electric blanket on our bed.
This winter in Texas has been very cold and windy. Never in my life have I muttered H**y S**t so much. Every time I go outside when the cold wind hits me.
I will never, ever complain about the hot Texas summers again. Ever!
    Till at least July.

newat52 got a reaction from BabySheldon in Foods you can't tolerate since surgery
Nothing. Nada. Can eat anything. Have not vomited, slimed, dumped or had any adverse reaction. I have tried everything. Not in excess but I have had a few bites of rice. Ok with my tummy. Had a couple bites of ice cream. Check. bread. Nope, tummy is fine with it.
I am almost a bit disappointed but it just means more work for me. However, I have had the most positive experience with my sleeve surgery and recovery. I am a lucky gal but I must be very careful to make the best choices each and every time I eat. Easy to say, hard to do. I get it right about 90% of the time.
It will be a lifelong work.
Oh, I lied. I have not had carbonation. That was the ONLY no no from my surgeon. I can live with that so I can't say how that sits.

Never thought I'd hear that. He's been very supportive through all of this. I hit goal and lost another 5 lbs. I'm 5'6" and 155 lbs. my size 10 jeans are getting a little baggy. I'm happy where I'm at and am going to try to stop losing. But that was a very unexpected compliment for sure. Think that counts as a NSV.

Yes! I LOVE sushi! I waited till about 7 months to try it and I can't eat in properly in the way you eat the whole thing at once. I do pick some of the rice off but its a total go for me! I am 11 months out and we just had the most amazing sushi tasting at the Ritz Carlton in Grand Cayman.
Yes, you will be able to eat it but you will just need to make the better choices of sushi!
    Best luck to you.

Ahhh...yes...that has happened to many a pair of girls post sleeve.
While my girls used to converse with my belly button they are now getting to know my kness.......sigh.....
I try to stay positive about them and wake up every morning and rolls those little girls up and place them in my bra and they don't move for the day.
The upshot is the weight is coming off and I dream of getting those girls lifted and perky although I probably won't.
Keep up the great work and good luck with the girls!

Again, it's about privacy and keeping one's business to ones self. How hard is that to understand? Why in the world do think that you are required to answer every question that you are asked? Many people choose to keep the details of their lives private.
You think people are thinking ill of your friend and you are embarrassed for her? What does it matter to you? Those people doing the oh yeah, right thing are not worthy of an answer anyway they are the Water cooler gossips.
Do what ever you feel is right for you but really, stop the judging try to learn to respect other's views.
