Today I finished the last of my pre-op stuff...Last of the labs, my EKG, an anesthesiologist, paperwork completed and now I only need a time which I will find out on Friday! So excited! I have been doing really well on my 1000 cal diet which is second nature now...and have lost about 10 pounds so far! 4 days and a wake! Let the journey truly begin...so excited did I say that already! Good luck everyone!

The Dress!

Fish (and I am not a fish person) salmon wild caught is high in protein, tuna, imitation crab in my salad. Turkey burger did I say salads! lol...carnation essential breakfast starts and I have bought shakes, & couple of high protein shake drinks...that's about it! o real variety myself!

My surgery is also March 4, I started my pre-op diet on Tuesday. What has helped me tremendously is that I plan my meals the day before.I have a 1000 calories per day. I do the carnation essential for breakfast every morning and I make sure to have my lunch ready at night. I am using the Calorie counter. As someone said get use the diet because it will help in the long run and it also help to reduce the liver size...I have wanted to cheat myself a glass of wine or even a beer...so mine is really not even food it's the alcohol lol! I started my pre-op diet today and I would have to say this was the hardest ever...trying to get all the protein and under the 1000 calories! Boy I tell you...I know this is day one and I am just getting started and hoping that it will come easy hopefully sooner than later! My husband is so awesome because he is counting those calories too, to ensure I am getting the right amount of everything! Gotta love him! Does anyone have a calorie counter that is accurate I am using two different ones to compare?

I started my pre-op diet and it is not a all liquid diet I have been still talking my BP and my Bp has been doing well, so not sure if I will be taking off of them...but time will tell! Can't wait til the 4th, well I can just excited!

Let's see my hubby knows of course...told my immediate fam (my mom, sis, and brother), one of my friends. My boss only knows that I am having surgery that is it! I feel that is my biz and if I want to share I will, but right now I don't feel like I am ready!

March 4th and totally excited! I start my pre-op diet next week...really funny how each provider does something different with each patient and all the different requirements! This time will be go faster then I know it and for everyone else. I hope everyone the best...gotta find me a new workout partner, I am ready for the new journey!

Hey Everyone, My name is Sharonda we are active duty Army, stationed in Fort Bliss (20 years in the army). I just made the decision in January to have the sleeve done. although it is something that I have been thinking about for a while. When the high BP was added to the mixed I decided enough is enough! Since starting the process I feel that everything has been moving really quick. I have my pre-op appointment tomorrow and hopefully I get a surgery date then! I am really nervous, I mean really nervous. I have never had surgery, I have only been in the hospital to birth babies!!! I think I am starting to overwhelm myself! Nice to meet everyone!
