I started at 381lbs and I'm down to 199lbs in a short 11 months! This has been a great journey.I'm running my first 5k race next week and can't wait. The race committee wants me to tell my story on stage after the race but I'm alittle shy so not sure if i can do that or not.

Today I am officially 6 months out! Although I haven't made my goal yet I'm happy with the weight I have reached so far. My body is stalling right now at 154 but I have been going to the gym everyday and I'm losing alot of inches. I have been shopping alot lately and buying alot of 5 inch heels! Lol shoes I couldn't wear at my highest weight of 240. I turned 28 dec 23rd and I feel better than I did at 22! I'm loving the new me! !

You are rude and are the one breaking forum rules. Should you not be able to intelligently respond and instead use shortened profanities to state your opion, then stay out of the conversation. Lies are lies. Sad that those of us willing to confront members lying are attacked personally
    Stick to the facts.

Don't ever allow a healthcare provider make you feel like you did something wrong. You are a consumer, and you paid for a service. What shouldn't have been included was indifference and judgement. I agree that you need to follow up with your surgeon ad pcp. Six years ago, I had a pain on my right side that would wake me from sound sleep. If I took a deep breath, it went straight through me. Went to urgent care, doc palpated my abdomen, I had rebound tenderness, taps my foot and it causes abdominal pain. Sends me straight to the ER. I have a gallbladder ultrasound done and it's negative. My labs are normal. I'm discharged home. My pain continues so my PCP orders a CT of my abdomen. It reveals an ovarian cyst. I wasn't buying that as the source of my pain. She orders a HIDA scan the next day. Didn't react as the tech thought I should, so he had me get out of scanner ad walk around for 30 minutes. Resume the test, and he says it's normal. Tell my pcp when she calls to give the results what happened, and she's furious. She calls a surgeon who agrees the tech fouled the test. I'm in surgery the next morning, to remove a sludge filled gallbladder.
You have to be persistent. Only you know your body.

I feel ya, I've had straight up hell with lap band for 5yrs. Scared to death of failing. But with all the success stories & support on this forum I feel confident I'm making the right decision.
Got my surgery date yesterday for Dec 10th, excited yet upset that after all these months jumping through hoops I can't get it done this month, but have decided to use these 30 days to prove I'm strong enough to drop some of this weight on my own (I've never been able to keep it off) start Protein drinks, work out extra hard & then get my revision surgery. I'm very motivated by the idea that at the point surgery date is finally here, which would be when I would normally start gaining back. Ill be sleeved, band removed & body won't get the chance to gain it back
