  1. Hi, thanks for answering my question. I never thought about not being able to drive. Maybe if I sweet talk my hubby, he will drive me.......like "driving Miss Vickie: I was wondering how you got your name "DIANN / TEXAS: to flash and all that good stuff in your reply? That is so neat! I am not real afraid right now with my surgery but I think the minute I walk in the hosptial, it will all hit home as to what I am about to do. Wish me luck! Vickie
  2. Hello, I have been reading the posts from this site and really like the idea of being able to ask questions and have them answered by other lapbanders, and so I joined. I am from the Norther lower part of Michigan and was wondering who else was from this area? I am scheduled to have my lapband surgery this Tuesday, May 29, and have been on the pre-surgery diet for 10 days and have lost 10 pounds. I figure if I can do this diet, I can do the post-surgery diet quite well....hopefully. Can anyone give me pointers on what things they ate when they were at Stage 3 of the post-op diet? What kind of proteins are high and good-tasting? Also.....(and this is VERY important :drum:) I was wondering after I have my surgery on Tuesday and providing everything went well, if I can go shopping a couple days later? Does it feel like you've had major surgery with the lapband? I am going to take about maybe 4 days off after my surgery and thought I might get excited if I can go shopping! ha ha! :clap2: Vickie :tea:
