How long did you take off work?
I took off six business days (Monday - Monday). Today is Tuesday and I am back at work. The pain is mostly gone...more pressure from the hernia repair than anything and I was sort of going nuts just sitting at home, but I have a desk job. My hardest task is walking to the conference room for a meeting.

FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
I was sleeved on Feb 4th. I actually feel great; most of the pain is gone, mostly pressure now. No nausea. Had a post-op appointment on Friday and they were pleased. I have been given permission to do light training on my elliptical and I did 35 minutes today. The real bummer is I am tired of drinking my food and I cannot seem to put down as much Protein and liquid as the doc and nut would like. Overall, I think it gets better once we get to real food.

omg never ever again..
Thank goodness! I am 5 days post-op and I love my spicy foods. The bland life has been tolerable but I am sure I can only do another 2 weeks of it before I start rebelling.

Yesterday was the day!
First liquids post-op in the past 1.5 hours; water and g2 Gatorade in a teeny cup. Sort of looks like the NyQuil cup. Both went down and stayed down with no problems. Yay!

Yesterday was the day!
I've been sleeved! It happened yesterday and I could not be happier. There was not a hint of nervousness or fear. I KNEW I was doing the right thing. I had an amazingly supportive medical group, in fact I am still here. All of them made me feel so comfortable through it all. Going back to sleep now, I was so excited I just had to share.

Introduction from a nervous newbie
Unfortunately, it's been pushed to Monday because the surgeon had an office tragedy. Assistant's father passed away on Monday. I hope they are doing ok. In the meantime, I am starving! Pre-op diet is lasting a little longer than we thought.

Are There Any Single Sleevers Out There..
I love that you are willing to be a support and if I figure out how, I will invite you to be a friend. I am nervous as all get out, but believe very strongly I am doing the right thing. I am in Marina del Rey and think eventually us so Calers should get together. I will be taking my iPad and iPhone with me and have been assured wireless is available. I look forward to being here in the aftermath!

how did your EGD go?
Had mine done yesterday. One moment I was babbling away, the next moment they are waking me up in recovery. Never having been put under before, I was rather afraid, but this "twilight" thing was very easy breezy. In fact, I felt fine within a few hours (no longer drowsy). I had a positive experience and imagine most people will as well.

Introduction from a nervous newbie
That is so great to hear and your ticker shows some really powerful progress. I hope I will be as successful. Right now my biggest thing is getting through surgery. I have never been under, never had surgery (wisdom teeth came out under local) so I have a bit of anxiety to get past. Overall, I am thinking it will be better than my life today. Thank you for sharing.

Introduction from a nervous newbie
I have been silently lurking around this forum for quite some time. Finally late last year, I decided it is time to act. I am scheduled to be sleeved next Wednesday, January 30th. I am nervous but optimistic. I am a 40 y/o female, 5 feet 7 inches and 274 lbs at weigh-in two weeks ago. At yesterday's physical, I was 264 lbs.I am hoping this surgery gives me the tools and a kick-start of sorts to get some control back into managing my weight. I may not post often, but all of your stories have truly inspired me and I am grateful to have found this site.
