  1. Thank you everyone for your advice. I'm proud to report we've had the conversation and he's been fantastic about it. In fact he went to the doctor himself today to get a check-up to make sure he's as healthy as he can be. He loves my scars and says they add to the wonderfully sexy person I am. He constantly tells me how tiny I am. Something I never thought I would hear in my lifetime. He's a keeper. All that worrying for nothing. Thanks again!
  2. I had a tt and breast lift 3 months ago. I have a new boyfriend and we will likely be intimate very soon. I still wear tape over my tt scars. I have no problem taking the tape off. I just can't decide if I tell him I've had plastics or not. My scars are obviously still very fresh so it's not like one won't see or in some cases feel them. Need your advice...do I tell him or not?

    Plastics scheduled for July 22nd

Wow...take care and rest. Hope your healing is swift and uneventful!
  5. Lol me too!! I had to send my sister to get bras twice because they were too small. I only had a lift so I'm assuming I'm still retaining fluid. Hoping to get back to my 34 soon.

    4 weeks post op

Had my 4 week checkup today. I asked PS when I could resume activity. He said go ahead you can have sex. I said no no that's not what I meant. What about walking and Water aerobics? Got the green light. Yeah!! A step towards being myself again. He said the exercise will help with some of the residual Fluid as well. No follow up needed for another 4 weeks. At that time he will be checking my scars and be sure the tape is working. What a process! I'm loving my new body! Each day it looks better and my tummy is flatter. Can't wait to get out and see some friends and wear some real clothes.
  7. Just remember you are hyper critical of everything right now. You are still healing and your body is adjusting. You look amazing and you've come so far. Hugs to you!
  8. I'm 4 weeks post op from an extended TT, breast lift and lipo. I'm starting to get a little mojo back but couldn't be more thrilled with my results. I don't think I've dared to wear a bikini since I was a toddler. Starting weight 252 current weight 144 and 5' 1". VSG done December 2012. I'd like to see myself get to between 130-135lbs when all said and done. I can't wait to get back to the gym so I can work on these cottage cheese thighs. It's the only thing I think needs some work yet. I sure miss my Zumba!! This journey has been life changing. I'm so blessed to have the opportunity to focus on me!!

    Itchy

I had extended TT and breast lift 3 weeks ago. I've itched like crazy the past couple of weeks. I've applied aloe lotion at every potty break and it's helped. My skin is just so dry and flaky. My PS also suggested Benadryl. I haven't taken it this far. Good luck!
  10. You look awesome!! How's your energy level? I'm moving but slowly still and get very tired by 5pm. Congrats on your success!!
  11. I'll be honest, I didn't have much pain and didn't need ice. I think I would describe it as being uncomfortable. I would have as many meals cooked ahead of time that just need to be heated. In small containers because you won't want to lift anything. Have them at eye level because you won't want to reach or bend over. Don't be afraid to ask for help!! I needed more help with this than when I delivered my twins via c-section. Have a couple ugly snap up house coats. I still wear these around the house. The front snaps really came in handy with the drains. Have something to read and some things to watch on tv. Be ready to rest, rest, rest. Don't push yourself. I didn't seem to gain weight. I've only lost since surgery. I've made sure that I'm drinking at least my 8 glasses of Water each day and eating clean Protein. Basically back to the basics after WLS. I feel this has been key to my success. The drains are a pain and you just need to be patient with them. It's heaven when they are out. Finally, be ready for a slow recovery. I'm two weeks out and I'm stir crazy. I've been so active for the last 15 months that I'm stir crazy. At the same time, I'm exhausted and continue to be surprised how much energy things take. Taking a shower, going up and down the stairs, making my kids dinner (chicken nuggets in the microwave lol). Patience is not one of my best qualities. I'm really trying. At the end of the day I look at my before and after PS pictures every day to remind myself what I used to look like. This is so worth it!! Just can't wait to get back to my life again.
  12. I had my two week appt today as well. Got my last drain out. They are going to do my tape on Thursday. I said that's going to hurt, they told me no. Now I know. I'm sure you are exhausted. I have no energy after spending the entire weekend in bed. Do you have energy yet? Glad to hear your appt was successful.

    The new me????????????

    Congratulations!!! You look amazing!
  14. I had an extended TT and breast lift 2 weeks ago Monday. I know I had major surgery and should be patient with my recovery. I'm wondering for those who have had surgery, how long did it take you to feel like yourself again? When could you grocery shop or shop for a new pieces of clothing? I guess I've watched enough tv and read enough books that I'm going a little stir crazy. I miss my active lifestyle.

    OMG I itch

I know when you begin healing you will itch. This is crazy! I had extended TT and breast lift 12 days ago. I'm laying here awake going absolutely crazy wanting to itch so bad from below my breasts past my belly button. What's a girl to do???
