  1. Definitely very happy with my decision. I have had no problems what so ever:) Would do it again in a heartbeat!
  2. I thought I was having a stall at 8 weeks. So I didn't weigh myself for a week. ( very hard to do) but I ended up going down a pant size, so I lost it somewhere:)
  3. Go into your profile page, click on surgery, change weight etc, your ticker will automatically update.
  4. I made refrigerator soup during my soup time. Every veg I could find , throw on stock pot and cook till super soft, then run through a blender. Also I like just a cup of chicken broth, but you have to use a really good chicken base. Not those stupid bullion cubes.
  5. Wow, what s story. So sorry you had to go through surgery twice:( Thanks for putting your story out there. People that haven't been sleeved yet, whether your private or self pd. Check and double check your Dr! Most have a history and success rate, don't be afraid to ask lots of questions. I sure did. I even made my Dr uncomfortable at times with all my questions, but I found out everything I needed to know to have a successful surgery
  6. My yogurt shop has one yogurt on hand that is mainly for diabetics, its sugar free, and its pretty darn good, they rotate the flavor so you can try different tastes.
  7. Everything in moderation;)
  8. Good luck! Hope all goes well:)
  9. I like to have frozen fish on hand that is individually pkg. Like Costco sells. Salmon and talipia are good. I just made sauteed brussel sprout with garlic. You chop up the brussels, and them talipia which I cook in my toaster oven with some lemon pepper and right before it was finished I put some pesto on top! Very yummy:)
  10. I purged my closet one last time! I was keeping stuff for that just in case moment. But ya know that's not a very positive way to think. I now think hell no I am never getting back in those clothes again! I was sleeved Jan. 14th2013, and I went from size 26/28 shirts(cause I liked them to cover my belly) and 18/20 pants, to Xl or 1X shirt, and size 10 jeans! I can't believe how quickly my body is shrinking:) I thought I was stalling, but then I went down two pant sizes, so you just can't go on weight loss alone:)
  11. I could have gone back to work early, but glad I took 3 weeks, cause one day I would be fine and then the next day I would be so bloody exhausted. By the middle of the third week I was ready to go back to work. You have to remember those first few weeks you can barely eat a thing. Your not getting a lot of nutrients, some can't even handle. vitamins. Just take your time and don't push yourself, especially if you do have to go back to work early.
  12. It does shrink:) not sure how much as I'm not quite there yet, but I feel a lot more bones down there than I have in along time:)
  13. Yea, I'm happy for you, and we share the same name! Your surgery will be here before you know it. This sight is so great about asking any kind of questions, and I mean Any questions! Everyone is so nice and helpful. I absolutely love this forum, you could say I'm addicted:) Best of luck on getting your surgery date quickly. Keep us posted:) Jackie
  14. I just tried lettuce, wrapped it around a thin hamburger party with tomato. Just like protein style burger at In&Out. Cut in 4 and ate half. Had no problems. Think I will try a side salad tomorrow:) I am almost 10 weeks.
  15. Also some people wear on a chain around neck until they finish losing. ine are so loose too, fortunately I have my grandmothers rings and she had tiny fingers so I am wearing hers on ring finger when I go out:)
  16. I eat a yogurt, or egg for breakfast. A piece of string or babybell cheese with a couple crackers for snack. A protein shake or tuna salad, chicken salad, for Lunch, and 3oz salmon, chicken, or pork, with a couple bites of broccoli, brussel sprouts, or other veggies for dinner. And maybe a slim creation fudge bar for snack after dinner:)
  17. I've tried so many before my surgery and after, untill I finally broke down and bought premier. For some reason I thought I would make the powders taste better by blending them on blender for a more shake consistency. I was wrong! I freeze premier shakes till just icy. Yum.
  18. Yes its normal. Gas and air are the #1 causes. Mine makes noises all the time and I'm almost ten weeks.
  19. Everyone's best bet is to carry a few protein bars at all times. They wrk great for those missed meals! You'd be surprised how full you get on one:)
  20. Oops- are not ate! Damn spell check..
  21. Mine started early to, in fact a few hrs after surgery! For some reason they ate a little different after surgery. Not sure why its brownish color, but for me its Brown right when I start and at the end. Lots of women are experiencing the same thing, so I'm thinking it might just be the trama your body is going through. I have had four periods so far and I'm fine
  22. I took three weeks, the first week was a waiting period so you have to use sick pay or vaca. The last two weeks were disability, but since its not all your reg pay my work uses some sick pay to make up the difference. That way I got full pay for three weeks and didn't lose any money! Your work also has to pay into disability.
  23. Geez, do you ever eat any food:)?
  24. Welcome and Congrats on your upcoming surgery:)
  25. I have a co worker who happens to be a dear friend to. When I finally told her I was going to have this surgery, she just keeped telling me about how her sister had RNY 12 years ago and gained back weight. Well maybe she gained 20 or so lbs back, but not close to what she ever weighed at het highest. I can tell just from listening to her it sounds like jealousy. With me she says she was happy and supports me, but has never mentioned anything to me yet. And I am down 55#! Everyone else I know has said something positive. I hate that some people just can't be happy for you. She is over weight also, so why doesn't she chose to do something about it instead of being unhappy all the time. I just don't get it:)
