by no means is this easy but gets better.
I am on my 4th week and yes it was rough the first week and a half. Each person is different, but it does get better. I do feel hungry of I wait to long to eat a bite or two. It doesn't take much. Now I am having fun cooking new things for dinner. Good luck and hope the crappy part passes quickly for ya:)

My new BFF! The toaster oven!
My toaster oven has been awesome! It's great for us sleevers who can only eat 2oz of protein. It's perfect for that little piece of fish, chicken, scallops, turkey burger etc.... I am sure I can even cook the infamous ricotta bake:)

Size 30 Jeans! Maybe this doesn't sound good to you, but...
It doesn't matter what size u are, it feels GREAT to be losing this weight period. I found three pair of jeans from along time ago, and they are the only ones that fit, and they are getting baggier each passing day! Congrats and keep up the good work:)

Post Op
It's true about 5 - 7 weeks out u can try new foods. I made a huge turkey chili for SUPERBOWL and I had a 1/4 of that and thought I died and went to heaven:) also have been making all kinds of baked fish in the toaster oven. I have tried chicken to with no problem. I love chicken salad. So just try something different each day and stick with what works. The key is to eat slow and chew real good. It won't be 5 months don't worry:)

Flappy Arms
Yes rashes and yeast infections.

Flappy Arms
The bad news is the skin if its really stretched the chances are slim it won't go back. Doing weights will definitely build muscle, but it builds it under the layer of loose skin. Surgery is the only way to remove most of the extra skin.

3 WEEKS POST OP. AND SOOO HAPPY!
I am 3 weeks out and I'm feeling great, eating mostly soft, moist foods. Tonight I had baked Tilapia. 2 oz and a few brocolli sprigs and thought it was a feast! My incisions have pretty much healed, and every food I've tried has given me no problems. Everyday I put on my jeans and there loser:) I have lost16# since I was sleeved. Just wanted to express myself cause I feel real good. To everyone just having surgery my first week was rough, but after that it was all downhill. Be strong and hang in there and you'll reap the rewards:) Thanks for listening to me rant...

It hurts my stamach when i drink water
Don't worry you probably have more swelling inside than some people. Everyday it will get easier just hang in there and sip what you can. Also I drank a lot of green tea my first week and chicken broth, that also counts as liquid!

BMI 41 no comorbids...what are the odds?
Most of the requirements are 40 BMI or higher. You should be okay as long as you don't lose weight, and can maintain your BMI till approved. You should be good. Mine was 41, but I have Kaiser and it was simple.

What's yours like?
I did full liquids for two weeks, then went to soft foods, like tuna, eggs, fish etc. I was sooo sick of full liquids a couple days before the two weeks were up. Hang in there, your almost to soft and you'll be way more full because some of the liquids your on slide right through your stomach. My first Soft meal I was stuffed. Good luck

Help needed Day 10 problem
3 oz might have been to much, I did that with Tunafish and 2 oz stuck in me for about an hour in a half, just try a couple bites at time and wait to see if it goes down, just cause they tell you to start different stages, doesn't mean we can sometimes do it:)

THANK GOD! I FINALLY FOUND A DELICIOUS PROTIEN DRINK!
So today I broke down and bought the Costco premiere brand drink. It's ready made vanilla flavor. I put it in the freezer till it gets just icy, and yum yum! I have never been a vanilla person but this one is pretty darn good. Just saying:)

Drinking and eating
It's definitely a change in habit for almost everyone. It's tru what someone else said. Your food needs to sit in your stomach so it absorbs nutrients, If you drink it just flushes the food right out of your pouch and you have less absorption. At least try 1/2 hour. It's just part of our many changes. Good luck:)

Started soft foods a few days ago. Anyone have this problem when you started?
Okay, couldn't wait to get off full liquids! But I notice I can't eat as much real food as the liquids. Even though I wasn't eating but 1/2 cup it feels like now I can only eat 1/4 each meal. I don't feel full, but I feel it stick in my chest when I have had enough. How am I going to be able to have some protein and veggies in the same meal? Does it get better? Any answers or ideas would be great:)
