Vicki3007 reacted to PdxMan in 50lbs lost.. am I getting taller? :S
Losing the weight is going to result in less compression on the cartilage, therefore, you should be a bit taller. Less cartilage comression, the spongier it can be. Think about all the cartilage in your spine.
We are all taller in the morning than we are at night just for this reason. Lose weight and the result is apparent always.
    Check THIS out.

Maybe because the weight is not weighing down your bones? and they cant stretch out?? haha sounds logical to me lol

Awesome!!! I can't wait to join you in that excitement. I too have clothes that I thought would just stay in the container under the bed forever. Now I have hope to actually wear them again.

lol I know I am not alone! I have a pair of goal pants that I have had for 10 years, not college but old. If they were from college they would fall to dust but my hoarding paid off too or will soon! Good Job!!!

Vicki3007 got a reaction from serenafish in 10 days to go
    Hi serenafish,
10 days to go for the big day! yay!
I was where you were not too long ago so know exactly what you mean.
It's exciting and empowering while also being scary as hell.
I was fortunate enough to have a relatively pain free recovery, the only pain I had was in my back from lying on it for a long time and in my shoulder due to the gas. The pain lasted for the first 2 days or so, after which I just had mild discomfort for about 2 weeks.
I still struggle with water, cannot have more than 3 glasses a day and even that's pushing it.. but then I've always had a problem drinking water so may not be as bad for you.
Head hunger is a problem, but as you said the mind is like a child screaming for food, it is also easy to distract. What works for me is trying on old clothes, reading, and if it gets really really bad, I leave the house and go for a long walk, away from the temptation of food! lol
Glad you found a protein you like in advance, will make your life much easier, I was initially on some really horrible powders given by the doc and hated every minute of it.

sorry for the long rant and best of luck for the surgery! Let us know how things go

I tolerated the choc unjury prior to surgery but since then I don't care for it. I am doing the best on the clear isopure.

I'm new to this too, and I thank you for sharing your post, it feels good to know your not alone, and to be able to ramble on about things that may be on your mind. I am taking the isopure to, and I love it, I take the vanilla, but I like very bland food. Sounds to me like your doing great wtg

Thanks for sharing your blog. Sounds like you are doing well. I am sure we all will miss bread. But it is for a higher cause(us) I am afraid of those protien powders. They sound disgusting. Good luck with your blog
