  1. I have changed doctors and the second opinion doctor will charge you.
  2. The boy loved the girl so much,
  3. I haven't been approved yet (finishing up requirements), but I have BCBS IL and you're right, no pre op diet requirement. I just have to follow whatever my surgeon requires. Also need nutrition counseling and psych eval. Your BMI is high enough, too. (You need a BMI of 40 or 35 with co-morbidities). I have been paying my co-pays at doctor visits but I don't know how much the surgery out of pocket will be. Sorry if that's not too much help
  4. I'm so glad you are happy with her - and thanks for your response I have actually changed surgeons since this post. Nothing against Dr. Malladi - she's great, I just changed due to some other health issues. Good luck with your sleeve! Keep me posted! (I may have mine in Dec or Jan). Brenda
  5. It looks like you have been approved for the sleeve surgery, but not have have your esophagus and stomach looked at with an endoscope.
  6. Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers! The polyps are benign! (Happy dance) . I'm so thankful! I see my surgeon this Thursday and will see what he says about this and ramifications for surgery.
  7. Thanks, @@RedDirtRoads - that is very kind of you. Getting biopsy results today and will let you know! I'm in good spirits,
  8. Outstanding! You look so beautiful and happy! Thanks for the inspiration!
  9. Just updated my iPhone to the new version. Can't even use it. It freezes my phone up each time I look at a thread. I guess I won't be logging on except when I'm home now
  10. Oh my KeeWee. I am so sorry. I really hope they can control your reflux with medication. Will be thinking of you and wishing you well. Please keep us posted. (((Hugs))) Ps - You may want to do an internet search on the Linx procedure for gastric reflux - may be a long shot - but possibly an alternative to bypass if you can find a surgeon on your area who is certified and if your insurance will approve it. Don't know if they are doing it in sleeve patients or not.
  11. @@MyHeartOnMySleeve That's outstanding!!! Congratulations - I'm so happy for you!
  12. That's amazing progress! Congratulations!!!
  13. @@Nurselori - you are so sweet - thank you! I do feel better after researching a seeing that there is very little chance of them being even pre-cancerous. Hopefully, I'll know in a few days. Will post and let ya'll know the results. Thanks again to everyone for all the warm thoughts and prayers. They are very much appreciated.
  14. @@vsgchick and @@Luvin_Life125 Thank you so much for your encouragement and support. It really helps to know I'm not alone. I will be thinking of both of you and wishing you well on your journeys. Please keep me posted on your progress.
  15. @@mz.newlife54. Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you
  16. Thanks @@JustWatchMe - I really appreciate it! I can't have lap band because not recommended with autoimmune disease (and definitely no NSAIDs).
  17. @@VSGAnn2014 and @@lose4life - thank you for your replies. The NSAID question is one I've had several conversations with my surgeon about. In my particular case, he is allowing them. I know everyone's situation and surgeon are different. The reason I said I'm getting the VSG is that it can possibly make esophagitis worse, but I'm not a candidate for bypass. My biggest concern right now is the polyps. I'm over my shock now and am confident they will come back benign .
