  3. I am 3 months out and I drink some diet dp every so often. No problems, but you belch quite a bit. I can't drink a lot, just a few sips here and there.
  4. I wasn't allowed a single bite of food for 8 whole weeks. 8 weeks!?! She says it's bc she has seen cases of people's stomachs rupturing on yogurt at a month out! Now, who knows what truly went on. Most people do just fine, but 8 weeks of liquids was awful.
  5. Yes. They had me on the cannula till discharge. Then just had me sleep upright till I could use it again.
  6. My surgeon wouldn't let me bring mine to the hospital, and I wasn't allowed to use it bc of the air for 6 weeks.

  10. I lost 133lbs prior to the sleeve on my own. 160 total including since surgery on Aug 25th. I'm trying soooooo hard. I don't plan on picking them up again, it's just such a crazy struggle. It's like my body is looking for a difference addiction since it can't have food now. Recognizing nicotine is what I figured.
  11. When I quit I quit cold turkey so never did the patch. I would think the nicotine in it would just make me want to smoke more? I dunno. I have NOT had one, but man this craving is crazy.
  12. So I have been a non smoker for 2 years now. Ever since surgery 7 weeks ago all I've wanted is a cigarette. I know that it's just transfer addiction trying to rear it's ugly head, but I just can't shake it. I can still barely eat anything (not that I want to) and I am far toooooo busy to pick up another hobby (kids, work out schedule, work...) I just need some encouragement.
  13. I do not do shots, but they offered me a flu shot the day of my discharge so I'm sure you can get it.
  14. Meeeeee. I'm 7 weeks out tomorrow and I can barely get in 300-400 cals a day. I've lost 27lbs since surgery, but I feel like it should be more. I am not getting all my protein in even though I'm trying my best. I work out daily as well.
  15. Yes and no. Yes bc I got my surgery for free and had an amazing team who I can contact for ANYTHING I need. No bc the criteria was very intense. If you messed up one time you had to start all over. I complied with everything exactly, but I watched some people who didn't and it was sad.
  16. No it didn't. I ended up going through a program through the Native American hospital that paid for my surgery.
  17. I was going to go to Mexico if I didn't get my surgery here too!

  20. I notice the same. When I don't get enough cals and proteins I don't lose. When I up them both I'm averaging 1lb a day.
