Well done sticking to the plan. That was a lot of temptation and not easy I'm sure. We are almost there!!!!

How is everyone handling the BBQ's today
4 days pre-op so I took a nice long nap after a killer session with my trainer! It's storming now so no neighborhood smells to tempt me. :-)

How do I let go of the fear of Trusting myself again?
I don't have answers to your questions but can tell you I too have all kinds of things going on in my head as I prepare for my surgery on the 31st. I think that's normal (hopefully). This is a great place for support and I wish you the very best on your journey. Sounds like you've come a long way so far which is super encouraging.

1 week from today we will all be sleeved!!! I plan to take my phone and post as soon as I can after surgery. Would love to hear from each of you as well. Found some protein powder today that I like and can mix it with water. Hoping I can get the stuff down after surgery!!! Have been reading a lot of the post surgery posts and sounds like folks hit a stall in week 3 if they aren't getting enough protein/calories down. Just want to do this already!!!- Tomato soup
Not sure about tomato soup. In week two, I'm allowed to do blended lentil, black bean and vegetable soups. In week three, my surgeon green lights the following (as tolerated): - eggs - Natural nut butters with no sugar or oil added (peanut, almond, walnut, cashew) - Soft baked fish (cod, tilapia, whitefish) - Mashed potatoes (no skin) - Low-fat soft cheeses (cottage, string or sliced) - Canned veggies or fresh cooked to mush (no added salt) - Canned fruit in their own juice - banana- Quinoa, can we?
My doctor's office has Quinoa on my shopping list starting week 6 post surgery. I'm still pre-op so I can't speak from actual experience, though.- **May 31st**
I love how positive your coordinator is. My skinny jeans are in another closet. Can't wait to pull them out (or go buy new ones)!- **May 31st**
Hangover III was awesome -- almost as good as the first one. If you go see it, make sure you stay past the closing credits so you don't miss the funniest part of any of the movies. Didn't think about my surgery at all during the movie.- **May 31st**
OK May 31st sleevers (and Erics 300 - May 29th sleever) - how is everyone doing? Any words of wisdom or encouragement with 1 week to go? I just made a lunch date with a former co-worker next Wednesday then realized that I'll be on my pre-op liquid diet. I checked the menu where we are going and there is nothing that I can eat. Trying to figure out how I'm going to explain why I'm only drinking Water. Guess I'll say I'm on a water diet. (I'm not telling anyone but my husband and personal trainer about the surgery). Wish I didn't have so much time left to think (overthink) this thing. I've never had a surgery that I had weeks and weeks to think about. I know we are all going to get through this --- just seems like I can't think of anything but this right now. Trying to keep busy but it's always there. Seeing Hangover III tonight --- hopefully won't be thinking about it then. :-) Enough about me..... How is everyone else doing?- Getting Sleeved this Thursday, May 23rd
How did it go? Hope you are doing well.- Any pre op diet tips?
OK - I need to read more carefully. At first I thought you were saying you ate Kit Kats for your pre-op diet. I was sooooo jealous.- **May 31st**
10 days and counting!!!!- Getting Sleeved this Thursday, May 23rd
My date isn't until the 31st but wanted to say good luck to you!- May 20th
Sending out good thoughts and prayers to the May 20th sleevers. Please let us know how you are doing as you are able.- Hey y'all!
Greetings and good luck on your journey.- Approval letter came today! Questions...
Congrats meglynmin! My letter had a "filler date" too. When I asked my doctor's office, they said they just put something in there for the approval and will send an update to the insurance company once the real date is scheduled. I did get a 2nd letter from the insurance company once this was done with the correct date. Hope this helps and congrats again.- ZIPLINE REALITY CHECK...
I can't wait to zipline. Have wanted to do it for years!!! Good to you for trying and you WILL get there.- **May 31st**
Good luck with your pre-op diet! I also put off the surgery as I didn't see bypass or the band being the right option for me. When I learned about and researched the sleeve, it felt right. Can't believe we are just hours from being 2 weeks out. Wish I could say I'm not nervous or scared - I tend to be a worrier. I just really hope that it goes well and that I have minimal pain and no complications -- wishing the same for you and all. :-)- **May 31st**
Hi Wags - I love Cancun!!! Of course, I'm thinking about the Cancun that involves soaking up sun while consuming umbrella drinks. :-) Good luck to you and keep us posted!!!- **May 31st**
Hi Kailisa---yeah!!!!! Thanks for reaching out. How are you feeling almost 2 weeks out? How long is your pre-op diet? Where are you from? (Sorry for the 50 questions). ????- **May 31st**
I will have to do a 3 day liquid diet starting May 28. I'm not looking forward to it but am grateful it's only 3 days. I've noticed some people have to do it for 2 weeks or more. You may want to ask. My understanding is that it helps to shrink your liver which apparently can make the surgery easier for the Dr. Let me know what you find out. :-) - **May 31st**
