Surgery was completed yesterday and I'll be checking out in an hour. Surgery went well and no complications, although the overwhelming nausea is annoying. I'm struggling to get liquids so really need to stay focused on that.

I hope you're feeling better Staci. I was plain miserable yesterday but feel 100% better today. I'm up to 4oz of H2O an hour and will try a Protein shake soon. I am a little surprised by all the incisions on my belly, I feel like Frankenstein!! I have 6 total, 4 are about 1in long, others shorter. Can I ask how many you have? Thanks

I also had my surgery on the 28th. Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. I had my 2 week check up today, down 15lbs. I got the ok to start on the next phase of the diet, but it was a rough day. Tried turkey chili, got through about 4 spoonfuls at 1pm today and it is still sittin like a brick in my stomach. Trial and error for this next phase I guess. Unfortunately, I had only had a Protein Shake before that so I am really really low on both fluids and Protein today. But this full feeling is crazy!

Hope you're feeling better today. On my surgeons plan I have another 7 days of liquids before going to soft so am very jealous!! We do soft foods for 3 weeks before next transition - how long does yours last?

I am on phase 2 of my diet plan: full Liquid Protein diet... I get fat free creamed Soups, strained, and milk and Protein shakes.. I have come to really like the Muscle Milk, it has 25g of protein and lactose free, 3g sugar, but the calories are a little high of 220, but I try to just drink one a day. I am absolutely not having any problems. I get liquids down just fine, and have not had any issues drinking milk or eating Jello. Last night I even tried refried Beans, which I probably shouldn't have until my next phase of my diet, but not issues and after about 3 bites, I was very full, not too full that I wanted to vomit.. But I felt full, and it felt nice for the first time. I am down to 228.4.. I am so very excited, people at work are saying how I look like I am loosing weight, and my clothes are starting to feel loose.. great feelings guys.. It's been a very long time.. Good luck to you all... :o)

Oh I don't think I could have done another 7 days of liquids. I am on soft food for 2 weeks. It is harder then I expected. When you think your eating slow, slow down. That is going to be my thought for this next 2 weeks!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
