I'm on the 28th too!!! Getting nervous now, but still excited, trying to get all my supplies in order... Best of luck to you!!

Keep busy with post op planning. Have all you need ready for hospital? What about after? Pantry and fridge stocked with assorted drinks both reg and some lactose free.. Just in case? Everything up off floor and unpacked for no lifting and minmal bending? Have all ur liquid vitamins and meds for nausea, acid, gas relief, Constipation? Clean ur closets and drawers and get ready for a new wardrobe. Figure out what u want your new look/style to be... New hair cut plan... Etc. focus on the wonderful new life ahead rather than the worry. Wishing you much success on your journey! Im not until the 30th but pre op diet and wrapping up things at work for a few weeks off is keeping me busy... Along with all i listed above!

I had my 6 month check up yesterday with Dr. Bad ASS McDaniel in Victoria,TX....
I am 100 down from my heaviest, and 85 down from day of surgery.
I have gone from a tight size 24 to a comfy size 14 and large top.
All my blood work looked great - tryglicerides went from upper 200's to an 80!!
Blood pressure is awesome -
and he says I am a rockstar!
He feels I should be able to get down into the 170's by my one year appt -
Hard to believe.....

Hang in there! Think about the weight you will loose Pre-Op:) and the benefit of decreasing the fat around your liver so the surgeon can better do there job. It is definately not easy but you can do it !

Today was my first day and in really happy to hear it gets better. Today wasn't terrible but I was really tired and got a bit irritable by the end of the day. It's so nice to have this forum to go to and know that others are going through the same thing!

Today is my 8th day post op believe me it gets better i already lost 26 lbs

Haha, I love that not only did you decide to have beer right after surgery, but that the hospital cafeteria served it!

I am on my eighth day and yesterday it finally got better for me. I didn't feel hungry but would get a burning pain in my stomach. Glad it got better I was beginning to think I wouldn't be able to do it. Tomorrow I have my preop visit and my surgery is next Tuesday. When is yours?

Today is my 7th day on my pre op liquid diet and I feel great and I lost like 15 lbs! !! It is true everyone after the third day it becomes soooooo much easier you can do it..
... don't you eat that! Lol be well

Oh I know what you are dealing with! Started my pre-op diet Monday too. I don't feel mean per se....that would take energy that I just don't have right now! I've been tired and dragging so far this week. And it will be worth it on January 28!
