Thank you, I went to Hobbey Lobbey and bought dazzle beads. They were so small I did one for each 2/10 of a lb lost per BMI scale. I made one for my bathroom and one for work.

Ok, I was just watching something and it reminded me about this post! So this really isn't on the subject of "tracking" weight loss, BUT it is about our commitment to weight loss. What about putting a ring on our dominant hand so that when we reach for food we are reminded of our commitment to ourselves, our family and our life? Similar to a wedding ring, just a regular ring that can hold up over the years that can remind us daily of this commitment...

No real science behind it... When i started i weighted 265. the bmi chart says for my height 265-214 is extreme obesity so I put 51 green marbles in the jar, obese is 213-164 so I put 59 blue marbles in for that, overweight is 163-136 so I put 29 purple ones for that and healthy is 135-104 so I put the 31 pink hearts in for that. Just out your 3 favorite color marbles river rocks or gems whatever you can find and count them out according to your bmi chart.
Picked my 3 favorite colors blue green purple.... Green being my least favorite therefor my least favorite weight morbid, (lol) blue being my next obese, purple being my most fav so overweight. I got all the supplies at dollar tree and because its valentines day I found pink hearts and thought that having them at the bottom for the healthy weight was cute... Also I put one big rock in for every 10 lbs just as an added incentive for every 10 lbs. i found the stick on letters from Michael's craft store in the scrap booking section. You can be as little it as much creative as you want.... if you want you can just put multi colored marbles one for each pound you need to loose that was the original one that I found online. I was bored so I made it more creative lol

I was also miserable on the pre-op diet. I started it on 1/14 and ended today day surgery. when i realized that i needed to drink extra Water I was drinking about 96oz I was also eating what I was allowed to every two hours i felt much better. After day 3 my anger went away. . I lost 18lbs and I feel great I dropped two pants sizes. I am not saying it was easy but water and eating helped. I was straight up mean for the first 3 days! I was told to drink 4 8oz Protein Shakes a day. 3oz of chick raw veggies oatmeal, sugar free ice pops, Jello and pudding, and Greek yogurt. I mixed the sf pudding with the yogurt it's now my new favorite food. It's great with vanilla or chocolate! I was allowed to drink anything sugar free and Decaf. I could also use lemon and lime! I made use fresh lime for Salad Dressing on my raw veggies with chicken and I put a dollop of greet yogurt on the chicken! Very good surprisingly! I put sugar free flavored Syrup or extract to the shakes. (You can find it in the coffee isle. After the first 8 days I was able to cut out a lot of the food and just have shakes. I hope this helps! I didn't like the predict but today after weighing myself down 18lbs and yesterday and old pair of jeans fitting! I freaken love it! Omg!!! I have been so depressed my surgery was scheduled for 1/28, I got the call 2 days before that it was canceled because my insurance didn't approve it yet! So I called found out that I had to find a new doctor mine wasn't covered! Ahhh! Well my dr got me in touch with a doctor he approved of and by 915 on the 28 the insurance procedure already started! Wow this new place is amazing love the staff and the doctor and I know someone who went here! Well they also scheduled for my surgery 2/4! I was amazed! Well I got a phone call at 10:25 this morning ride to the hospital was already here since I needed to be there at 11 canceled again! not approved yet. I was so upset I was fasting I just cried! Now I have been crying since monday the 28th lol. Well GREAT NEWS!!! I got a phone call today at 3 my surgery is TOMORROW!! I get there at 10:30 and surgery at 12:30!!!! I am so excited to start my new life! Good luck to everyone!

Caramelbaby! I couldn't have said it better myself! I know exactly how you feel! I am sitting in the doctors office right now I showed up an hour early! (Lol I couldn't wait any longer) to meet my new doctor, who will hopefully be doing my surgery!

I tell myself this is my time. It's about me and it's ok for me to be selfish and think about myself for once. I'm worth it and this is an investment in myself.

Wow! Great job! You sound like me! 5'2 255 at start hoping for my surgery next week!! I don't want to buy new cloths I just can't wait to wear smaller clothes lol!! You sound like you have a good attitudes "every day is a new day"!! Absolutely! I'm am also nervous about loosing the weight and then putting it back on since that has been my whole life I am gonna try to stay positive and start a new life with my sleeve!

I am sorry this happen to you too! My surgery was 1/28 and canceled not because I didn't so something because someone (no one will take the blame) didn't file the paperwork correctly. No my surgery was rescheduled for this monday 2/4 and I'm still waiting for the approval again with all the right info this time! I can not trust anyone.but myself! I had to call myself to figure this all out too! Hang in there! I understand what you are going through!

The Gastric Sleeve By Guillermo Alvarez. It's actually a nice handy size to carry in your purse or bag. IT's got some history on weight loss surgery, what the sleeve is, what the stages are, recommended eating and advice on getting to goal. It's a nice read.
I am buying "Skinny Jeans at Last- secrets to long term weight loss surgery success" which was recommended by some YouTubers. I heard it was good.

Good luck! I hope you feel better! I am only telling my mom because she had gastric bypass 5 yrs ago and my BFF because she is the one who always eats with me! Lol and her sister because she cooks for us, I asked them to keep it secret because I don't do we'll with comments and they understand. I will be telling people that I am changing my life quit drinking smoking and abusing my body with bad food and I am now focusing on eating healthy exercising and being positive! I am very happy about it! Besides the sleeve is just a tool like a measuring cup! Lol

So I am two and a half weeks post op (20 pounds down!). This week I have been experiencing a wicked amount of acid reflux (a burning feeling that comes up to the back up to my throat). I have been experiencing it all day everyday, regardless of whether I just "ate" or not. It was coming up while I was sitting up at my desk at work, resting at home, and sleeping. The only things I drink/eat are skim milk (with nonfat dry milk added) and Crystal Light or Diet V8 Splash.
In case anyone else experiences this post-op, I just wanted to tell you this is normal according to my surgeon (I had my first post-op appointment today) and will probably last for awhile while I heal. He told me to take Prilosec or Prevacid. I bought Prevacid at noon and am already feeling better! I should have just called 4 days ago when it got bad but I figured I would wait until my appointment. You don't have to live through that! Call your doc!
