How to get back on track!

Thank you for replying! I had surgery 03/18 and my surgeon had me lose some weight before I had surgery but I'm pretty sure it's around 35 that I've lost since surgery. I may not have done the tracker thing right. I go to my doctor for the first time after surgery on the 12th but I won't be seeing the surgeon ill be seeing his assistant. He won't be available. I haven't seen my doctor since I had surgery.
  2. Hello, on march 18 I was sleeved and was doing pretty good in the beginning after surgery but I have since fallen off the van wagon. I've really been struggling. I think in my mind I thought the fat girl in me would just die right there on the operating table and then I'd just automatically become this new skinny person. Wow was I wrong! Duh this takes a lot of work! So here's where I'm at now... I've lost about 35lbs I eat whatever I feel like eating.... Which is usually not healthy. I do good to drink one protein shake a day and I'm not exercising. I'm so worried I've stretched my sleeve. I have weighed 230 for at least a month now ... I feel so alone with this. My family does not support my health recovery at all. Half the time they want to take me to eat at places where's there's literally nothing I can eat... So I've been reading a lot about how I can turn this around. I'm considering going on a juice fast for a few days or longer if I can handle it. I'm thinking maybe this will help me reboot. I just feel like I've failed miserably. Has anyone else been juicing veggies and fruit? I'd really like some feed back on how I can get back on track! Some encouragement is much needed!!
  3. I so know how you feel!! I have had the same feelings!! I broke down and cooked 1/4 cup of egg beaters and did just fine!
  4. Thanks for the advise! It's good to know I'm not the only one! It's not easy tho! I wish my doc would at least approve full liquids. I did splurge on cream of chicken strained and had no problems but when I told the nurse about it she wasn't happy. Said broth only! Grr lol
  5. Best of luck to you!
  6. Hello, I was sleeved march 18th. So far I have not had any problems. No nausea or vomiting. The only thing I'm really struggling with is the diet. I'm so sick of protein shakes. My doctor started me on my preop diet 2 months before surgery with a requirement to loose 25 lbs before surgery. He also says I have to be on clear liquids only for the first 21 days. This is torture. I'm reading so many posts about people having full liquids and pureeds by week 2. I'm allowed 2 protein shakes a day chicken or beef broth and jello or Popsicles. I can drink most beverages that are decaf, sugar free and non carbonated. I can ONLY have these things until day 22. I on day 13. I just want something other then liquid. I can't wait till the 7th when I can have real food again! Has anyone else heard of a doctor being this strict? I've only lost 10 since surgery too physically I'm doing great! I honestly feel back to normal and sometimes have to remind myself that I just had surgery and to be careful! I'm really hoping things get better and start moving along very soon!
  7. Try drinking a cup of ginger tea every night. It helps with the "flow" of things and isn't as harsh as coffee! Although I will say I believe my coffee helps. I'm also adding sugar free creamer and a scoop of whey Protein to my coffee. Still tastes great!
