  1. I am on my preop diet of just Straight fluid ..... three protein shakes a day and 64+ clear liquids
  2. My hospital does not use them
  3. I had my two hour post operative training last night where we went over the diet, shopping guide and what's going happen at surgery. Didn't realize how severe the food restrictions are. For the first two weeks there is no foods that are allowed to be chewed And I had no idea that you cannot have steak or pork for up to three months after your surgery. They gave me a list of of things that I should buy a GMC regarding my liquid protein intake and they also gave me a list of supplements that I'll need to take for the rest of my life but there is one of my hospital offers that I can say that's cheaper and equivalency to seven other types. Has anyone else received this information for going through that's also?
  4. I too am 32 years old and will be sleeved February 28th!
  5. Kinda nervous about tomorrow I have two hour training with the nutritionist on my post operative diet kind of nervous considering I've been on two protein shakes and a light protein dinner for about a week now I'm having major withdrawals..
  6. Didn't realize it was a crime to dress and feel positive. Maybe some of you should look in the mirror before judging other people's lives. This post was meant for positive help and some suggestions as to how to keep my marriage thriving during this process. Just because I choose to dress my age and not hide all of God's gifts does not make me any less of a woman. Obviously you're 1 of the jealous men who like to tell their women what they can and cannot wear and that's why you have an issue with this post...
  7. I had a discussion with him... Expressed my feelings and fears. He does have insecurities but asked him that we work on them together and he not push those onto me. Told him right now all as I needed to support I don't need any fighting again I'm happily married and not going anywhere and at this journey is For me to be healthy and be a good mom and a good wife.
  8. 2/28 surgery... 2/7 is 2hr care training... 2/25 preop testing...
  9. Sending u my prayers.... stay strong
  10. Sooo I'm wearing a low v shirt today and hes like can it get any lower. Told him to get used to it and he said I'll b single. I just laughed. Said I have my ring I'm good. He said he's gonna go to gym and get a muscle body... he asked why I dress like this... I said cause I can. I'm an adult and no one is telling me what to wear... didn't go over good
  11. You all look amazing and I can't wait to have photos posted just like you all
  12. How do you approach this? He's very supportive of the surgery is always calling in asking how I'm doing and how my appointments are however I know he's afraid of the future ... if he does have insecurities that's not something that I can fix or control but being a happy wife and mother is all that's important to me. I don't want a fight prior to my surgery nor after my surgery any good suggestions on how we discuss???
  13. My husband is not controlling he is very jealous but he definitely has an opinion as to what I wear even when I'm going out with him. Occasionally I do like to go to the clubs in Boston and obviously dress appropriate which creates a big issue with us ....so he is feeling that I'm going to change my way of life, my way of thinking and not want to be with him due to the fact that I'm losing this weight. I am happily married, in love with my husband and have no desire to go elsewhere. Because we are going to have these constant struggles with ourselves I don't want to have a struggle with my spouse
  14. I'm looking for some advice about how spouses have dealt with their spouses and their weight loss. I'm finding my husband is going to have a huge issue with the weight loss and me feeling more confident/ sexy.... Difference in dressing and I'm not sure how to approach this without fighting. We have been married 10 years and I've given him no reason to not trust me but I want this to be a positive journey for us both has anyone else had the same issues? For example wearing capris was what I always went with and I'm thinking shorts or skirts and I always make sure to cover up the stomach so I'm questioning wearing summer dresses or tank tops. He does not like when the "girls" are showing and I'm only 32! so I don't feel like I need to dress like a nun. My goal is not to dress skanky or slutty but to dress my new body with clothing and confidence.
  15. I don't know about the chocolate peanut butter but I was looking at the cookies and cream and the strawberry has anybody tried these? My best friend also told me that she used to buy the chocolate and vanilla and add cooking extract to it like the coconut the banana the strawberry and the coffee to give it additional flavors just a suggestion...
  16. I've been drinking the special K protein shakes for lunch and breakfast and for dinner tonight I have some small protein with the salad and some carrots and during the day I did have two giant glasses of water any suggestions on a good protein shake? I'm finding it hard for me to get the food in cause im not really hungry and now it's late at night and I'm starving
  17. I'm so addicted to all these threads that I have on my iPad, my cell phone, and my laptop
  18. I started my diet today from my surgeon with two protein shakes a day and a small dinner protein and vegetables and I'm still really hungry and I was not sure if anyone else is going through this. I'm finding that I am drained and very tired and very emotional anybody have any suggestions or guidance? My surgery is February 28 so I still have a while to go but I believe I will be on a liquid only diet for two weeks. How did anybody make the transition?
  19. Thank you so much I was so nervous thinking this is going to help me put weight on rather than take it off
