Today's weight : 242
 

Being 6 weeks out a lot of things still do not taste good to me. I heard this could happen post-op but I don't understand the reasoning behind it. It is frustrating but then again I never crave anything and I never feel the need to eat a ton of food. When things don't taste the same it becomes a way to push away from my plate. I believe that this does get better as time passes though.

The surgery went very well for us both. I can't get over how attentive Dr. Garcia and his whole staff are. A doctor has come in at least 4 times to check on us today alone and the nurses are always coming on to see if you need anything. I've never gotten this much attention at a US Hospital.

My husband and I are both scheduled for Saturday. Super excited and starting to get nervous. I had the lapband before and I'm really hoping that recovery is similar

Good luck! I'm on day 3, surgery on the 17th. It's not the worst thing, but it is challenging. You have each other for support to stay strong, so that's nice.

My name there is karibrenmom and I would love to have more sleeve friends! I think its a great way to get food ideas! I am preop for another week!
