  1. I LOVE getting my Protein thru bars. I HATE Protein drinks. Plus it makes me feel fuller. I did wait until I was 7 weeks out first and still chew, chew, chew. I try to stay above 15 gm of protein and 3 or less net carbs
  2. Thanks to both of you! It's just very frustrating because I know I have to get some nutrition and food or drinking is the last thing on my mind.. And when I do eat / drink I feel like a little kid being force fees Brussel sprouts. Lol

  4. I am 6 weeks post op and NOTHING tastes good. Water, crystal light, g2, apple juice, protein and Mushie food all repulse me. Is this normal? Any suggestions?
  5. How long did it take for your wounds to heal? Especially the whole where the drainage tube was placed. Anything special you did to speed the healing?

  12. The surgery went very well for us both. I can't get over how attentive Dr. Garcia and his whole staff are. A doctor has come in at least 4 times to check on us today alone and the nurses are always coming on to see if you need anything. I've never gotten this much attention at a US Hospital. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. They have been very much appreciated. Kristi

  15. My husband and I are both scheduled for Saturday. Super excited and starting to get nervous. I had the lapband before and I'm really hoping that recovery is similar
  16. Thanks, thats pretty much the way I was going to follow it. I'm very excited I go tomorow for my pre-op testing.
  17. I would appreciate it. I'm more concerned with the laxative.
  18. I'm a little confused on Dr Garcia's pre-op diet. According to what was sent to use, we are on clear liquids for 3 days prior to surgery, but right after says eat dinner. Also, it says to take a laxative 3 days prior to surgery. Not quite understanding that
  19. Hi, your experience with the band mimics mine. I am getting sleeved on 1/19 so ill let you know about the pain level. With the band I was fine the same day and returned to work the next day. I pray the sleeve goes the same way. I have done a lot of research because I want babies of my own too. From what I found there is more nutritional loss with full bypass then w sleeve, therefore making pregnancy a little more complicated. That's the no 1 reason I chose the sleeve. Good luck!
