stomach flu
Oh I completely get what you are saying. This past season was the first time in 7 years I didn't get the stomach flu 1-3x because of my kiddos. They all had it only once this season (woo hoo!) but I seemed to dodge it. Nothing worse than mommas being sick trying to still take care of everything, especially if you just had surgery. So, I had thought about this too and I had a lot of my anti nausea medicine ready just in case. Doctor had prescribed tablets and suppositories just in case I needed anything at all. Most everything is still sitting in the same spot. You can't really do anything about it if you get it but let it run it's course. The less throwing up the better though. It's not really that season so hopefully that's not what he has but you never know. Be careful and I hope your son feels better! Wash sheets, wash hands, wear mask if you have too. But by now you are exposed so if you are going to get chances are you will. Hopefully, it's not a bug though and your worries will all go away soon PS. School starts Monday here so I'm already gearing up for the sickies. FUN FUN!

How many of you have lost hair?
Oh I just started a topic, didn't see this one. Put me on the list for losing hair, A LOT of it! Mine started at 3 months out. I take all my Vitamins, Biotin, b12's, 80-100 g protien a day, whole schabang ..... still losing it like mad. I was told it's just a side effect of surgery/stress on the body not necessarily a deficient. I just want to know how long it will take to resume back to normal

Hair Loss - Holy Moly!
So I'm almost 4 months out but the hair loss started about a month ago. It was so bad that I got my hair chopped off to a pixie-like cut so at least I would lose shorter strands. Now I'm starting to get very noticeable thinning spots on the hair line by my forehead. I'm eating 80-100 g of protein a day, taking my vitamins and biotin, getting my water in, etc. My MIL is actually sending me a special shampoo that's suppose to help. Anyways, I know it's not abnormal to lose hair but I was curious if anyone knew a time frame as to how long it should last. Parts of my scalp is actually sore like I had it in a tight pony tail all day long.

Best greek yogurt? Any one's blood sugar ever dropped a little?
Yogurt is tricky because some are super high in carbs/sugar. The Danon light and fit greek has 9 g of carbs and 7 g of sugar which is why I bought it in the first place LOL. I haven't tried the Fage but I'll definitely check it out! I love new food ideas! Edit: I'm 4 months out and I can consume 90-120 g a day of carbs (max) but I usually stay in the 50-70 range.

Sprung a leak at 6 months out, no more sleeve or tummy

Getting frustrated with the scale!
If you are increasing your exercise you should probably increase your calories. I was around 700-800 calories and now I'm about 900-1100. I have days where I'm super hungry which results in more eating and then the scale will drop again. Last week I felt hungry every day and I only lost .8 lbs. Then the switch flipped again and I don't feel that hunger and I'm down 2.5 lbs this week. I just go with the flow and I'm trying hard to listen to my body and the signals it gives me. I probably get 80+ g of Protein in a day and take my daily Vitamins and Water. It will keep happening ..... hang in there!

I buy the danon light and fit greek ... they have several flavors and it's like eating dessert.

Bread
I got cleared for low carb tortillas/wraps etc. I had a Special K flat bread and I can handle half the bread (take the top off) ... whole thing makes me feel sick.

How fast do you drink your protein shakes?
It takes me longer to drink protein shakes than it does to eat food.

if I read about another stall Imma pull my hair out!
You have already lost 122 pounds whereas a lot of us are just starting out. So we aren't necessarily maintaining yet like you are. There are so many emotions connected to weight/weight loss and people are scared. A lot didn't have any resources going into it and search for answers where they can get it. The scale is where it starts for everyone. As your faith grows that the sleeve IS working it will slowly start to shift from scale to health.

Should I?
Ok so you want to shrink your liver and that will come in the form of high protein, low fat, low carb diet ... about 900-1000 calories a day. If you don't have to do an all liquid diet then say WOOOO HOOOOOOOOO and do a little dance I was on a strict diet ten days before with the last day being all liquid. You have plenty of time being on all liquids after the surgery so enjoy that food!

To tell or not to tell that is the question.......................
We have to remember that once the newness wears off people won't inquire at all. Flaunt it and enjoy the compliments
