  1. You and I sound alike. I had my VSG on feb 4. And I have lost 42 lbs. I'm in the middle of my second stall. The first one lasted 3 weeks. But then I started losing again and now I'm on my second stall for the past week. I know I will lose again. These stalls are normal. It's our bodies way of catching up and catching on to what's happening. Hang tight baby! It'll happen!!!

  3. How cool! I used to work at St Vincent's Charity in Cleveland. Small world. I know live in cape coral Florida and had my surgery 2/4/13 at Cleveland Clinic Westin near ft lauderdale. I'm still in the CCF Computers from when I lived in Cleveland 8 years ago. I actually know your doctor too. I'm a nurse so I have taken care of some if his patients in the past. Congrats to you. I feel the same way. I tell everyone about this surgery Nd want to mentor anyone who is going through this journey so they are not alone. Best wishes for continued success from one buckeye to another!!

  9. I love the chocolate premiere protein shakes at Costco and they have 30 whopping grams of protein per serving. Cant go wrong. No powdery aftertaste either. Good Luck!!

  13. Hmmm. Are you eating something that will stay in your stomach a little while like chicken or or hard boiled egg, turkey or cheese? I find when I eat something with substance vs. runny like yogurt it lasts longer.
  14. Walk walk walk with assistance of course!!! And don't forget to use your incentive spirometer!!! I know it's hard but the worst will be over very very shortly! Don't worry!! Stay positive although I know it's hard!! And yes GasX strips was my lifesaver
  15. I know the feeling. I'm six weeks post op and its starting for me too but I eat a yogurt or sugar free pudding or cheese and I'm fine. Or I leave the house and go walking!!
  16. Tell them you had either a hiatal hernia repair or laparoscopic cholecystectomy (gallbladder removed laparoscopically) although its none of their business.
