    surgery Jan 16

Also surgery on Jan 16th. Had tough time coming out of surgery, on oxygen 24 hrs but went home. I feel too good in some ways, wanting food like a saltine! I also have that yucky feeling as liquids go down or if something is cold. Except s/f Popsicles!!! Yummy! And warm, not hot soup. My gas got better after heating pad on tummy, laying on side with knees up toward my chest. Sorry to hear of anyone in pain!! Thought and prayers for y'all - Tammy

    Help

What a great idea- baby spoons!!! I'm only 6 days post op but trying to be well prepared. I'm having tough time remembering to eat mainly cause I'm sick of liquids!! Cream Soup is nice though!!!
  3. Thank you! I thought I messed up a thread!!!! I'm so confused by technology ???? I appreciate all the advice and info here but am still getting use to how it all works.
  4. I am 5 days post op. Feel great - too good I guess. What am I doing wrong because I'm hungry? A few crackers would be delightful!! Down 30 lbs (5 since surgery) so pleased but I feel tired, sick of protein drinks and soup. No regrets just frustrated!! Anybody tried unflavored protein added to their water or soup? Brand? Where to buy? Ugh I love all I'm learning about myself and food but wow anyone who says this is the easy way out of being fat needs a knock on the head!!! No picnic for sure!

    Freaking myself out

I too have read all the stories! Including the secretary at my son's school telling me her mother-in-law died!! I went to my doc with all these thoughts and I trust him! This is what I want, to be healthy and at a healthy weight. The sleeve is my final attempt because nothing else has worked. I'm thankful for the horror stories that made me ask more questions and soooo thankful for the stories of success and happiness. My surgery is Wed 1/16 at 3:00 pm and though I am a bit nervous I trust my doc and am praying for an uneventful, successful surgery! You will be in my thoughts and prayers, whatever you decide all that matters is you! Take care and God Bless

    8 more days!

I was a flight attendant also, quite a few years and children back!! I sooooo understand how you're feeling. Nothing to do, galley full of junk and a belly screaming at you! I gained weight flying too. Take some raw veggies and rice vinegar ( maybe ask doc for something in case security won't let it through!) I put cucumbers in a zip loc and throw vinegar on them and munch like they were potato chips! I buy carrot chips and baby carrots too, the already cut "chip" ones are easiest. I'm sorry you're having a hard time. Hang in there. We only have few days to go!! Good luck

    January 2013 Sleevers?

I am one week from today! January 16th at 1:00 pm. I was doing great on liquid diet having just a few cups of spinach or carrots and cucumber with rice vinegar, but hit a wall today! For the first time in a week I wanted food so bad I cried! Feeling like a failure (I ate a piece of cheese and 3 mini pretzels) I came to bed. Now so upset I can't sleep. I want this so much, why am I so freaking weak!???! Ok thanks for letting me air it out- done with pitty party and try to rest. Prayers for all is Jan sleeves!! God bless you all and good luck.
