I use a stool.softener everyday and metimusil clear and natural daily... that works for me. It's the combination of the two that works for me. One by itself is not enough. Hope this helps...

    Entire body tingling

I have the saem thing one my right side.... Actually I feel it most in my leg. I spoke with my Dr. And she said as I lose fat the neves move and it is normal.... I still fell it off and on but do not worry about it much. Oh yeah I too had some tests done to make sure it was nothing serious.... However, that being said I would go see your Dr. To get it checked out. All of our bodies are different. In that type of situation I would not mess with this. Best wishes!

    Thirst

I have never had the type of protien powder that is clear and you can mix with water... From what I understand you do even know you are drinking the protien at all. Honestly, I would suggest looking onto something like that so you can get in all of your daily needs.... It does get easier. Best wishes

    Wait wait wait

    Best wishes
  7. Because this has been a problem area for you my suggestion would be just to continue to measure your food. Someone one here ( sorry 8 am not sure where it is) has a list of weights and measurements for food. It is probably on the food and nutrition part of the web site. There are list of different varieties of foods and portions for each stage. Please don't be in fear..... Just wiegh and measure everything and you will be safe. Some of us never will gain the ability to judge when we are full.... I agree I with BKLYN I would see what your INS covers and go to a seminar if I had too to get into a Nut. Best wishes

    Funeral for a friend

I know the feeling... For me it was hard to give up my Diet Dr Pepper. I just loved the stuff would drink them for breakfast even... About a six pack a day on average. Believe it or not I do not miss them at all. I never in a million years thought I would say that. After surgery everything changes ( or should I say for many of us). I was also a FF queen.... Loved them dipped in ranch dressing... Anything fried was my friend. Today I have NO desire for fried foods at all. I hope you are able to have the same experience post op! Best Wishes

    Not sure whats going on...

Hi ShellSheck, I feel your struggle.... Honestly I agree.with with Laura-ven it is a great idea to find some professional help to process the emotions you are struggling with. Eating until you feel.pain is not good... BUT you already know that..... For sure you are learning your limits. Does that make you a failure? Of course not..... However, if you do that repeatedly then it becomes dangerous. I wish you well and hope you come through this struggle soon.

    Liquids with meals.

I was worried about that as well. I honestly have had no problems with it. I choose foods that have liquid in them. When preparing meats I make sure they have some kind of broth or something to keep it from getting dry. It was a adjustment to do all of this. However, at 7 months post op it is natural now. Best Wishes

    Fruits and Vegetables?

For some reason at that point I could not handle much. However, I could eat fresh tomato.... I actually ate tomatoes with 2 of my 3 meals a day for a long time. Now at 7 months the only thing I struggle with is corn and lettuce. I had no trouble with any fruit.
  20. Congratulations..... You look beautiful!

    vitamin question

In the beginning you will do liquid everything. Or I should say I did. My surgeon prescribed everything liquid.... The nausea medicine absorbed into the tongue. I bought liquid Multi Vitamin & liquid calcium. I did take all the Multi vitamin... Never touched the liquid calcium. I have to be honest here.... When I was at the point I could take things in pill form I switched to centruim chewable (orange flavored). I really struggled with them... They made me nauseated. I would only take them on the days my stomach was calm. If I felt a little queasy I didn't even try. At 5 months i was able to take them with not problem. However, I did take me that long to lose the sensitivity to them. At 7 months no problems. I take sub-lingual B12, B1 (pill form), centruim chewable Multi Vitamins and calcium chewable from costco. All is well! All my labs came back great.... Hope this was not too much info and it helps!

    Surgery tomorrow!

Best wishes with your surgery.... The time away will go quickly! Think of what the future will hold and it will make it worth the time away!

    Does it ever go away?

Honestly I was not hungry at all..... I didn't even want food. I had to focus just to get in all the liquid I needed. Best wishes with your surgery!

    Nervous

Hi.... What seemed to help me is simple really.... Whenever I would question the decision to have the surgery done I would ask myself a very simple question. Why am I doing this? For me it was to save my life. I know that sounds extreme. But, tht is how I felt. I knew I could not continue on the road I was on. I had tried everything and could not keep the weight off. Surgery was the next step to freedom. And honestly, it worked! I am free from the drive for food. I eat when my stomach feels empty. I never felt that before... My stomach was never empty. It is true freedom. You wanted to know what to expect after.... Well is it for me. Freedom! During the first month of the healing process I went through periods of discomfort. It took time to get used to having a small stomach. However, you will adjust... You will learn how to fit these changes into your life. Things settle and become normal again. Honestly, you will look back on this time and wonder why you got the jitters in the first place. I think sometimes we fear the unknown. We are all different in our reasons for having the surgery done. So what ever the reasons are you want this surgery... Think on those things as the nervous jitters try to mess with your thinking. I hope this helps! Best wishes Tina
