    January 2013 Sleevers

Thank you for your responses. I've not tried everything you've posted. I need to measure myself but I wouldn't know if I've lost inches this far so it's not going to help right now. I don't understand how this is even possible. I'm only losing 2-3 lbs a week IF THAT and that is what I should be losing without exercise!!! So.... If I wasn't busting my ass for 4-5 hours a day in the gym I wouldn't lose anything? You see where this gets frustrating? I'm just at a loss. I watch shows and hear stories from friends about ppl who lose a lot more weight than this in a shorter amount of time with less exercise. I'm not happy.
  2. I use MyNetDiary. It has a spot for daily measurements.
  3. I'm getting extremely grouchy and impatient over this weight-loss crap. I just want to know everyone else's progress, who got sleeved in January. I was advised by my surgeon to never eat less than 1000-1200 calories a day, I don't. I eat healthy foods and I work out 4-5 hours a day! Yes, that's correct I meant 4-5 hours. I walk 6 miles, do the elliptical for an hour (4.5 miles), I swim a mile, I do strength training (weights) for an hour, and sometimes I do more after that like skating or dancing, Ect. Now, can someone please explain to me why I've only lost 57 pounds in 4 and a half months when I literally changed my whole life style from no exercise to massive exercise and crap for food to "healthy" stuff????? I've been stuck at 212 for weeks!!! WTH? My goal for May was NOT unreasonable! I only wanted to drop 15-20 pounds and um... As it stands I've lost a whole THREE!!!! What is wrong with me?
  4. What are Chia seeds? Where do you get them? And how do you use them?

One year later, here I am.

Wow!! Congrats!! You look amazing. How do you find a surgeon to remove your excess skin? I've been thinking about that and don't have a clue

    Soy? Good or Bad

I've wanted to eat tofu for a long time but I don't know how you are supposed to fix/eat it? Since you guys do, could you help me out?
  9. January 14th, 2013. Down 70lbs including pre-op.
  10. I am 4 months post-op as of yesterday. After surgery up until just the past few weeks I had no problems with bowl movements what so ever even though I was advised that it was common to go back and forth with diarrhea and constipation. I hear that it may because I'm not getting as many fluids as I use to but I don't think that's the case at all. I actually feel like I get more fluids now than ever before. Anyways, I've literally taken everything there is over the counter and I take fiber supplements, drink plenty of water, exercise daily, am not on any medications that could be contributing, etc so I'm just wondering if this really is common? Has any one else experienced this? Any suggestions?
  11. I was the same weight as you were before and at surgery time. I was losing quite a bit every week up until I hit the 230's. Just like you, I had about a 3 week stall and it seemed like forever before I was able to get below 228. Once the stall was over, I started losing 2-5 pounds a week, again. I'm at 215 now. Just because your body stalls a while does not mean you're doing anything "wrong". The human body needs time to adjust to so much weight loss in such a short amount of time. People don't realize that just because you're doing something "healthier" now, doesn't mean that your body is "healthy" in the middle of it. Your body is in shock and needs time to adjust. That's a lot of the reason why we "stall" in weight loss. 1,100 calories a day is perfect, especially with exercise! I've been heavily educated on this and I am confident to tell you that if you eat less than 1,100 calories a day, you aren't going to lose the weight as fast as you want and also, anything less can get you malnutrition REAL QUICK. Sounds to me like you are right on track with no reason to complain. Yes, stalling in weight loss is frustrating. We all know that but it didn't take you a few months to gain that much weight and it needs to come back off at a reasonable speed to keep you healthy. If you want to try and speed things along a little bit, try a harder work out or simply change it up a bit. Another idea is to cut out a few carbs and sugar from your diet than usual. Good Luck to you. I had my surgery on January 14th and my goal was to be under 200 by June 1st. I'm almost there. It's gonna be close but I can tell you that I'm VERY confident that you can meet YOUR goal.
  12. Yes!!! I'm 12 weeks out now and I've never experienced such dramatic loud noises!!! LOL it's crazy Sent from my iPhone using VST
  13. It seems to me that you are right on track. I lost 8 pounds pre op and have lost 41 more since surgery on January 14th. That is WITH regular exercise. Sent from my iPhone using VST

    July 2012 Sleevers, Progress?

Hi. I was sleeved on January 14th 2013 and started at 282. I was wondering if you remember how many pounds you lost each month? I was doing so well and now at week 10 it's like I stopped losing so much. It seems on average that I'm only losing 2-3 lbs a week. Did you ever go thru this? Sent from my iPhone using VST
  15. Wow! That's amazing!! I'm so jealous. Sent from my iPhone using VST
