I'm taking my chill pill...or rather chill shot.

Throw whatever offensive remarks you can at me. What offends one may not offend another. I don't cry "foul". I respond in kind. If I replaced Whine with Bored I bet someone would find that offensive. Actually there is a Rant about being bored with the lack of Originality on this site. I'm going to guess that popular author didn't meet with any offended posters. Better choose my words more careful next time.

Wrong is not meaning I had in mind. More along the lines of baffling. That one can come so far in their journey yet after a few temporary setbacks they regret that trip. As for the friends comment. Some posters have other members on this site that post on most threads they do and they tend to have the same tone of voice. From my experience.

I completely agree with you. It's ok if someone want to disagree with your rant. But nope, they tell you that your opinion is wrong. It's not the rant it's the poster of the rant. I've been through this a few times. When certain posters weight in their friends join in. If you've been around long enough might have see the pattern. That's when it takes a turn and not in a good way.

Stop the Whining Over A Few Miserable Days!

That is true. It's hard for me to back down from anything. Ever now and then I need to remind myself some things are not worth it.

On two accounts you don't know what your talking about. First you got the wrong poster. Second don't assume about a situation you know little of. Well you know what they assumptions

Hypocrisy at its finest. I've seen a couple posters in this thread come down on other posters for eating the wrong foods. But I guess it's different because they're "concerned" and "tough love" is needed. Sure as long as it's not an issue they're dealing with or dealt with in the past.

Yes you would think I was talking to them personally. Maybe they don't know what section they're in.

Your taking a stranger comment to personal. My comment about throwing a pity party was not aimed at you directly. If it hit a sore spot with you that's not my fault. Once again, your too invested in my statement. I don't know your story, beside what you wrote, to wrap it in anything. I acknowledged that you went through hardships and I was sorry to hear that. Then I went right back to the topic and why I felt the way I did. This after all is MY thread. Me a drill sergeant? I've bet you never met one. I'm Mother Teresa in comparison. As for acting like a drill sergeant on here, I have every RIGHT to be on this particular sub-forum. It's call RANTS. You can look over all my posts. I bet you won't find one with me being hard, rude or self- righteous with anyone. Of course everyone is allowed to express how they feel. Including myself. No we can't Always predict how we will react to certain events but Past Behavior have a Tendency to Predict Future Behavior. After I read those threads I don't reply to them. Too bad the subject line don't read "Regret Surgery After Vomiting A Few Times". That way I can pass them over.

Hi Valarie best wishes for your upcoming surgery. Even though I'm ranting about something I find annoying I'm usually a very supportive person. We all have things that we just have to get off our chest.

Beautifully stated. I second you on not caring part. Popularity is for high school and public figures anyway, lol.

Hoorah!! Your only as strong as you need to be. With this surgery strength comes into play big time. I learned so much from being in the military. It made me a stronger person and taught me life best lessons. Good luck to you on yours too. We got this for sure!!

Yea they don't want to get get it. It offends their sensibilities that someone not a "vet" dare give such an opinion. This is a major surgery. It's one thing to talk about what your going through but the whining to the point of regret? I'm going to keep on saying it.... Maybe they weren't prepared enough.

Nope, where I say that? That comment was in reasons to a poster saying come back in a year implying I might feel or think differently. I was letting him know I won't. People can have regrets all that want. But if they having them over a some nausea and pain then I wonder if they were really ready for WLS or at least researched it well enough.

That's great you survived your hardships. As you said you don't know me. I know from past experiences I can get past anything. I had to fight tooth and nail to get cleared psychologically because of some of the things I experienced while deployed. But I overcame and proved one psych doc wrong and here I am. Doing better than those that got approved right away. Your blues are not mine but I don't throw a pity party. I tell myself that is the past and it will not hinder me. It's what I do next that defines me. So yes I can rant about whiners. It's my right to in this thread. This is the Perfect Place. I don't think some comprehend what I said or that just read whine and get offended. If your going to rant & rave, whine, do it, whatever make you feel better. My POINT is that REGRETTING surgery over a few Expected Temporary symptoms is unnecessary whining. That is bit much. Maybe they weren't really ready for this Serious surgery.
