Not to switch topics butI have a Military primary care doc but having surgery by doc outside the VA medical center. Did anyone have trouble getting primary doc sign off because the VA was not doing the surgery?

Tabbatha35. . . What type of insurance do you have? How many nutrition apt did you have to do? Did you get your date before you finished the nutrition apt?

I have been calling each month for the nutritionist apt. I received a letter Sat stating I need to go ahead and schedule the last two apts so I can get on the schedule for surgery. Cigna changed to 4 nutrition apt and previously it was 3 and this month i would have completed everything. :-(

Hi I am in Matthews and have Dr Pirrello as well . I am now pending 60 days with the Nutritionist before I am scheduled. I want to be scheduled this year while I have met my deductible with Cigna.

Oh crap I have Cigna and nobody has said anything about a letter. I have Cigna PPO and don't require referrals in general. I hope to be scheduled end of year. I so don't want to go into the next year without the procedure. I will check with the office on that letter . . .

I went to the seminar, then they set up my first apt to get my history, weight, blood pressure , and about seven tubes of blood. They then set up my first apt with the surgeon which is on the 22 August. I still have to see the nut, nutritionist 90 days, EDG, Pap, Mammogram, and records from my primary care doc. I am just getting started. 5'5 239 BMI 39

I have worked out for years and just lose 5 lbs here and there. I have a BMI of 40 and have high blood pressure. I do have Cigna PPP Insurance. I just don't know the first step . . .
