Couldn't find it anywhere but online, I just got mine in the mail this morning and took some. Hopefully it will make a difference. I did find a diff. Kind that I didn't buy because I am not super informed about Vitamins. However I found a 45 day supply type at Sprout that are kinda like a gel, it comes in mango, orange and lemon and the clerk said she didn't mind the taste I love mango. It's got 1050 mg long chain omega-3 fatty acids. I will have to compare the two and see. Thanks again

Just looked up both of these exercises, I will try them. Honestly I am new to doing a lot of exercises/workouts and am super thankful for the advice and suggestions. The instructor for the circuit class after I told her about my back problems has been on top of me about really a making sure my posture is correct so hopefully that will help to. Thanks guys

Not only have we learned in the distant past that chicken mcnuggets are made from parts of chicken unfit for human consumption and made human consumable by washing in ammonium hydroxide,

but now we learn today that they contain strange fibers (hair?) :

The unveiling of obscene practices in the fast food and the food industry in the name of profit just keeps getting better and better as the world turns and the clock ticks. There are so many good books and documentaries, starting with food, inc and super size me, that expose a million reasons to keep a healthy distances from processed and fast foods. Choose to be educated about this and take off the rose colored glasses that big marketing has put on us.

Taradawn- Your symptoms sound a lot like high levels of inflammation inside the body.
One natural way go take care of inflammation is to take high doses of Omega 3 fish oil. I take 3 g a day (about 1 TSP) to combat information from workouts every day. So far it has worked really well and I have never been side lined with inflammation due to cross fit work outs or any work puts I do at home.
If you wish a more traditional inflammation medicine, then go with ibuprofen or something like that. Everyone in my cross box takes Omega 3 to prevent inflammation that leads to pain. You would be surprised at the rib cage and back pain going away in a few days if you treat the inflammation. At one point (6 months ago), I had daily rib and back pain also.
For the central back pain, do be aware of good posture and alignments during bending exercise whether they are weight related or not. It is very important to be aware of form to prevent this spinal pain in the middle of the back (been there done that).

    7 months out
6 days a week-1 hr of medium to intense cardio
3-4 days a week 60 minutes weight training (1 day a week with personal trainer) alternating arm, leg, circuit training
On days I don't work I try to do 2 sessions of cardio...one hour in the morning and one in the afternoon (my trainer says it will help speed up the metabolism)
When I feel I can I "run" a mile...my knee was hurting for a couple weeks so backed off on it, but I'm back to it.
I stretch for about 20 minutes every time I workout after a warm up. This has really been helping with my running and even the way I walk. My hip flexors are extremely tight and have been for years, but I'm working on it. My shoulders also roll forward. It has just been years of no stretching, sitting, etc.

    Im 8 months post op
Monday/Wednesday/Friday: upper body heavy weight lifting for 30 minutes, 10 minutes treadmill inclined,10 minutes stair master, 10 minutes elliptical.
    Tuesday/Thursday: lower body: intense lower body exercises 40 minutes(squats,pile squats,lunges,dead lift,leg press,high kicks,knee highs), 20 minutes cardio (elliptical,treadmill , stair master).
I try my best to exercise 5 days a week. Ive been doing well and think Im building muscle because the scale is going up. Only complaint is that Exercise makes me intensely hungry when I dont exercise I can go all day without eating.

Great another thread to get me focused... This time I won't wait so long before I add to it. Thanks to Bean and Fiddle, I'm committed to C25K. I'm actually liking it.. Granted not when wagging (walking/jogging), I'm not a runner yet... To much shakes and bounces, plus the hernia I have makes it hard, I really like the way I feel when I complete the day!
I'm 1 year out, I do C25k 3 times a week, if I can't leave the house due to kids I do an hour on my elliptical. I use a ball and free weights, plus walking lunges and sumo squats. Can't do much with abs because of hernia. I try to do something anytime I want to watch tv, so at nights if I turn on the tube, I have to do something to benefit me.

Body Combat is a mix of martial arts. I burn almost 700 calories in a 55 minute class. Muy Tai, Karate, boxing, taikwondo. Serious rock music (not my favorite to listen to but it gets me into combat mode).
I did the Turbo Kick class today. LOVED it! Something for every part of the body - burned almost as many calories as body combat (moves faster so I have to get used to the moves and that should help)
I want to start building more muscle so I think I may change things up with more weight training in the coming month.
In the 4 months since I joined the gym I lost 27 pounds and gained 10 pounds of muscle. I went from 46.9% body fat to 32%. My ultimate body fat would be 25 - 27 percent. I want some more muscles

Oh how I envy this schedule. I wish I had a life that allowed such regimented scheduling. I switch back and forth from days to nights every week at work...working every other weekend....always changing my schedule. I pretty much have to plan every workout around all that. So one week I'm working out first thing in the morning, the next week it's late evening...sometimes in the middle of the day or the middle of the night. I've run at 3am plenty of times before being at work at 5. It's not fun but sometimes it's all I have.

I get tired just listening to Butter and Fiddle
I work out with a trainer 2 days a week and do Water aerobics 4 days a week. I usually take Tuesdays and Sundays off but I have a dog so I also get 2 to 3 miles of walking in a day with her. I don't count that as exercise..it is sniff sniff walk with her.
I am thinking of getting those You are your own gym DVD's. I am also toying with the idea of increasing my sessions to an hour with the trainer. I am just afraid I won't be able to complete an hour haha!

my journey is almost done. I'm recovering from a full Tummy Tuck after my successful wls a year ago 7-12-12.. its been a roller coaster but a true success!! I'm grateful and so blessed to have made it this far. although i didn't reach my goal wieght I'm still ok with my results. (just 12 pds to go ) i attribute my success to what i put in my mouth i no longer eat just because food is available or snack for no reason and food now is for fuel no for gloutney ...yes i enjoy food but it doesn't control me I'm able to ignore/ and battle those cravings those binges and that takes nothing but full will power on my part!! (not easy) i always have leftovers and i never finish a full plate of food. self control has become the norm. (not easy) but i pray and just a complete change of old habits.. although i have great support from everyone around me its really all up to me. i will never go back to that big me i hated! i do get hunger attacks but i battle them with healthy choices. i have critics who say i took the lazy easy way out but they are not in my shoes and this journey worked for me. my advise is if you are ready to start on your journey you have to be truly ready! and find what works for you!
The last phase of my journey once I'm fully recovered is to tone my body at a gym (something i dread and dislike very much) but I'm determined to conquer if the gym doesn't agree with me i will tone at home and continue my mall walks. blessings to all.
