Welcome back Chim I'm Glad your doing so well!! Where is Sunshine?? did I miss your post? hope all is well with My fellow Bandies! I have been lurking mostly and not posting but I am feeling better than ever!

Thank you to all who responded to my last post, Patty C, Trust me It's hard not to stand up and kick him in the BALL'S! Kathybad, Un fortunatly I have had the Pleasure of meeting his ASSistant...who dose the fills and closes his patients after surgery.( the 10 minutes we spent bantering the placement of the incisions vrs My bra possably cutting into them was quite entertaning for the OR staff! He said "YOU CAN'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE INTERNET" I told him He obvously dose not respect the patients point of view who arms themselves with good REAL life expireences hoping to aviod bad ones!) JERK!! BTW my port incision is centered 1" below my bra and one other insision is at my bra line! Lynette, I paid $7.400.44 my insurance paid the rest. Ribearty, Good sugestion I plan to interview them. there are 2 that share an office on the other side of town. I only wish I had interviewed them also, MY BAD :embarassed: STUPID! STUPID!:cry You guys are great! This has been the best part of this whole expierience for me! Frankly I think Doctors are fairly intimidated with the support system we Bandies have in relation to comparing our expieriences with one and another! I wont hesitate to tell the Truth about my Banding expierience with anyone who asks in my town!

Hey FarmerE, I did the same thing, alittle ground beef patty, and the next day 2 chicken legs, all thourly chewed and no PBing or nausea. can't say I did or did not do any damage, but I was chancing it based on all the diferent things I read on the various message boards....Dr.s all over the world have very differing views regarding when you can and can't eat solid foods. dont be so hard on yourself.

Hello everyone, How are all my fellow bandies? and future bandies? I have a off the wall question for you all. Do any of you have a Lap Band Doctor you don't like? I havent herd to many people who complain that they dont like there Doctors, but sadly, I cant stand mine. He's arrogant, over confidant, clynical, and has a very take it or leave it attitude. don't get me wrong, I saw this on my very first visit, He actualy refered to his larger patients as "500 pounders" when I said that I was surprised he was recomending LB for me cause I realy thought I eas too big for LB surgery, he dose both LB and RNY. but I foolishly convinced myself that it was OK because I wanted a compitant doctor regardless of his personality. BIG MISTAKE ON MY PART! He also refered to one of his patients as a "bone head" for eating hotdogs and having problems with vomiting, this was when I asked about my fears of vomiting with the LB. Every time I go to his office I leave there more mad more Pissed off. I dont as a general rule choose doctors fo my self I dont feel respect me as an informed patient and most importantly wont talk to me as the INDIVIDUAL THAT I AM! I hate feeling that I'm just another abdomin to this guy, I should have NEVER let him do my surgery! now I'm stuck with him for the next year for fills and any other issues that may come up with my band. :cry Am I just being a big baby? I'm afraid if I tell him how I realy feel, He wont honor the fills I PAID for for 1 year! HELP....How do I cope with this A** for another YEAR!

I was banded on 7-3-07 the incisions were stitched in side and glued closed. I have 5 on the upper abdomin, with the port one a bit larger. I'ts day 8 and they itck like crazy! My Dr. said showers only starting the next day and 2 weeks to swim! Hope this helps.

Hello Everyone, Took me forever to catch up 18 paiges of reading!! Feeling so much better todat went to Lowes with Husband and then BINGO!! did not win but we had fun. Planning to go to work tomorow hopfully all will go well there. Chickb13 I vote for the Body fortress Vanilla at Wally world! Sunshine6855 I got on and off the scale 10 times and tried it in 3 difrent rooms before I excepted the 16 lb loss! crazy huh! PattyC........ You are more normal than most, Just enjoy the ride!:clap2: Mango24 Lip balm and the clothese I wore in you will be naked except for the lipbalm!:omg: Lynette, The burpings driving me crazy Its so weird. Glad to report I'm feeling soooo much better today :clap2: thanks for all your well wishes....I'm feeling so good before it gets to hot I'm gonna go to the store and walk arround there for a while alittle Retail Therapy! truth is I'm boored havent been out since my surgery on Tuesday. I'm planning to go to work Monday. BTW I canot beleve I'm down 16 lbs!!!!!:whoo::whoo::whoo:

Hello everyone, just a quick update, I'm soore and stiff all under the ribs, cant tell the diference between gas pains hunger or fullness.....crazy I tell you. Its 110 outside so walknig outsides not gonna happen! Just sipping liquids and hoping for the pain to settle down.....OOOH its time for more Tylenol!!!! hope all you other new bandies R doing better more later hopfully Ill feel like that smilie looks.:omg:

Hello Fellow Bandies!!! I'ts nice to finaly say that! My Surgery went very well yesterday I have 4 small Laproscopic holes and 1 larger for the port 3" under my breast bone center. I'm sore but its managable with the Meds I'm a firm believer in taking pain meds as needed...why suffer, enjoy the ride!:whoo: I'm feeling no hunger so just sipping lots of liquids beef broth realy tastes good! I think my new montra is to just enjoy the little things 4 oz of broth, whodof thunk it! The hospital called me to come in early 8:00 AM and I was home at 3PM definatly have a heating pat Itrealy helps with the gas pains, also when ever I stand up I start burping, Intresting huh It took a while to get the first burp out and then its almost constant kinda feels good after! sorry for the LOOOONG text off to the sofa to my beloved heating pad! hope the other 7/3/07s did as well as me...BTW I got the 10cc vg band. more later:notagree

TONIGHTS THE NIGHT!!!! ( BEFORE SURGERY ) I'M HAVING A BEER.....OR 2, A CELIBRITORY BEER OF SORTS....ABOUT TO GO FLOAT IN MY 86 DEGREE POOL FOR THE LAST TIME FOR A WHILE :cry (I'M GONNA MISS MY POOL!!!) DR. SAID 2 WEEKS MINIMUM. I'M EXCITED TO START MY NEW JOURNEY BUT OF COURSE WORIED ABOUT MY ABILITY TO ALWAYS MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICES. EVERYONE WISHED ME WELL TODAY AT WORK, AND SAID WHAT'S YOUR GOAL WEIGHT? WELL ITS NOT A GOAL WEIGHT AT ALL, ITS A GOAL FEELING....I JUST WANT TO FIT TNTO MY WORLD COMFORTABLY, TO NOT GET SO EXAUSTED AFTER DOING THE MOST TRIVIAL THINGS I NEED TO REST CONSTANTLY! OR CATCH MY BREATH! I WANNA BE ABLE TO WIPE MY BUTT IN THE SMALL STALL!!!!! (SORRY TMI) :eek: I WANT TO DANCE WITH MY HUSBAND IN PUBLIC, AND DO THE THINGS COUPLES DO IN PRIVATE WITH EASE!!! :update: The frozen baby food also makes a great snack eaten out of the cube with a spoon....love the Bananas!!!! the peaches are kinda slushy! can you tell I'm desperate for somthing beyond a smoothie....during my pre liquid diet? JOINING BANDLAND ON TUESDAY!!!!!!!!!!:whoo:
