Question about incision sites

I was just wondering are all the incision sites stitched up? And are they stitched up with the ones they have to pull out later or ones that dissolve?

Also, how long did it take to heal and how long do you have to refrain from getting tha area wet?

I was banded on 7-3-07 the incisions were stitched in side and glued closed. I have 5 on the upper abdomin, with the port one a bit larger.

I'ts day 8 and they itck like crazy! My Dr. said showers only starting the next day and 2 weeks to swim!

Hope this helps.

I was banded on 07/06/07 with five incisions - I think these are dissolving stiches and mine are just starting to itch like crazy. I think it means they are healing!
