  1. My metabolism kicked in two weeks preop and I started dropping weight rapidly . BMI was 35.1 on surgery approval date. Only allowed one day of protein shakes preop (thankfully).
  2. I am REALLY hating winter this year! I am freezing all the time since surgery. I am addicted to my heating pad. I live in south Texas and we normally only have a few cold days a year, but not this year. I was even wearing a coat and mittens at work yesterday. Prior to surgery I was always hot. Will I always be this way?? When I get off work I just want to hide under the covers and I'm not getting anything else done. That's not like me either. It might help I'd I could work out, but my doctor said not for six months. When I tried to sneak in walking a few laps at the gym I ran into my doctor on the third lap : (
  3. Yes it does suck!!!! Ready to loose again
  4. Going back to work and having lots of energy!!! Cleaning out my closet of 24's and 22's and giving to people who need them. Saving a ton of money on food!!! Getting my EOB from insurance and seeing they actually paid for what they said they would!!!
  5. Sleeved 12/10 & in a HUGE STALL. Actually Gained 1 1/2 lbs. Tried walking a few laps at the gym even though dr said not to. ( he thought I would loose too fast) and of course I run into my doctor. Wanted to lift weights as my doctor wants me to, but one of my bosses was lifting weights and I'm on lifting restrictions at work, so I just went home : ( Not my week.
  6. Yep 3 weeks Monday and in a big stall : (
  7. Thinking of taking a vacation this summer. I will be around 7 months post op. Will I be eating most foods by this time just in small amounts, or will I still be having to watch what I eat carefully? Should my activity level be back to "normal" for me ? I don't want to invest in a Disney vacation and be miserable because I can't find appropriate food, or I can't keep up with the family.
  8. I LOVE a good challenge! Starting at 254 PreOp 224 CW 201 April Fools Day 175
  9. July -254 PreOp visit- 224 Surgery 12/10/12 Today 201 Happy NewYear!!! May we all be big losers in 2013
  10. Zip line across Fremont street at night during a concert, ride Top Thrill Dragster and other coasters in Cedar Point, take a family photo at DisneyLand with Mickey, run a 5 k with my sister, SHOP TIL I DROP for really cute clothes, retake the awful picture I took in Chicago this past summer
  11. I agree feeling food in your stomach isn't fun, nor is all the awful sounds my stomach makes!!! Wondering what my students who have me after lunch are going to say when my stomach starts guggling!!
  12. Congrats on the weight loss! Size 12?? Wow wish I could just get out of plus sizes!!! It's hard to drink. I know I'm dehydrated too. Hang in there, you are doing great! Oh and happy birthday; )
  13. I'm 3 weeks tomorrow, and I hurt at my waist on both sides . I had a hiatal hernia repair too. Hurts to take a deep breath.
  14. I was sleeved just two days before you. My digestive track is a mess! When I eat I never know what's going to happen. The only thing I can count on is horrible sounds like my stomach is fussing about what I just ate. I'm down 20 lbs.
  15. What a great idea celebrate the one year anniversary! That gives me something fun to think about plan over the next eleven plus months. I'm thinking a shopping trip to NYC!!!
  16. I am in the EXACT same place . Stalling at 202, my dream was to be 199 by New Years. I'm just avoiding the scale today because I know I'll be disappointed. Wait... I weigh dressed at the gym, maybe naked I AM 199 !!!! Lol. Best of luck to you.
  17. I hate taking medication, and that was one of the reasons I wanted the sleeve. I always get side effects. I was already working with my doctors to wean off it. I look forward to only taking vitamins soon!!!
  18. Great inspiration for a new sleever like me! I must say you are beautiful at both sizes, but I guessing now you feel better now.
  19. That's what was weird... It was clear and more of it than usual this morning. It's been darker and smaller amts.
  20. I was having trouble waking up this morning. Having dreams I couldn't move. When I finally woke up I was really weak. Took my blood pressure and it was 87/43. The more I moved around the higher it went. Was back to normal in a few minutes. Not on pain meds. Guess I will be stopping my bp meds soon. Hate that because they are also a migraine preventative. Anyone else have this happen? Scary
  21. Dumping is usually with sugar. Both times I was eating soft foods out with family and I do not know what was in the veggies or beans.. But boy did they make me quite ill!!! Eating only food I cook for a while.
  22. Eating does suck at times. Yesterday we went to Austin for a shopping trip. Normally eating out is fun. But not now. Got sick with the first meal, dumping syndrome soon as we got to the mall, then felt weak for hours. I'm sure it will get better, easier?!? I love to travel. I don't want this to slow me down.
  23. Don't like the horror stories. Good reminder for us to be careful, but they are really scaring the pre op patients!!!
  24. Good to hear from everyone. I wish I could workout. Prior to surgery I was doing a 5K training app. Loved it & miss the runners high. But it was causing my wt to drop too fast so my doctor said NO cardio for 6 months. Just weight training.
