    STOP CALLING IT A TOOL!

That's why I included the phrase "right mind" LOL. I honestly don't think many of those whim people are here on the forums. Either that or they are too scared to post!

    soda

The "ice drink" she's referring to are these fruit-flavored carbonated drinks. Super yummy- I drank them pre-sleeve. They are sugar free. For OP- some people do choose to drink soda pop after they are sleeved. I don't because whether or not it's bad, I choose to believe it's bad...haven't had that bit o' heaven in 4 months.... -Kendra
  3. *cue dramatic music* duh duh DUH!!!! You evil, evil pre- sleever. How do you sleep at night? ))))

    I Need a Bake Good!

Sure you can, if you are cleared for all foods. Just don't make it a habit. Treats are fine in moderation. There are also lots of good sugar free things. Atkins makes a line of treats that are low carb, low sugar, and surprisingly good. -Kendra

    I hate egg whites

So have a whole egg. They are not the devil, promise. I also hate egg whites. To "bulk up" my scrambled eggs without the extra calories, I usually have 1 whole egg and one egg white scrambled together. Yum, and lots of Protein.
  6. Yes, those sugar free sour "mint" things that come in a round plastic container- they are right at the check out. Once I ate the whole thing in a day...yeah, they are like 1.7 calories per piece- which means I ate about 100 extra empty calories that day...yikes!!!

    STOP CALLING IT A TOOL!

This is a very strange topic. People get offended by the oddest things. I'm not 100% convinced the OP gets the context of how the word "tool" is used in relation to the sleeve. No one in their right mind has this surgery on a whim. It is a major surgery with major risks. But once it is done, its only part of the weight loss equation, in addition to the other "tools" we use to manage weight. Again, strange, strange post... -Kendra

    Need help! Ive blown it!

Welcome to my world 4.5 monts out. Tracking IS a good way to stay accountable. I also use MFP. However, I am stalling big time, and I am a religious measurer and tracker...just one of those things, I guess. Time to tweak something!

    Does This Taste Funny?

It should get better. I am 4.5 months out and things are tasting pretty much the same as before surgery. It's nice.
  10. I wasn't at all for the 1st 2 months post-op. At 4 months, I feel "empty" when it's time to eat. I have not had hunger "pangs" or been at all ravenous since before surgery. This is the beauty of the sleeve- it allows you to know when you should have a little something, but since you aren't ravenously hungry, you are able to make better choices. That's how it has been for me, at least, and how I am choosing to utilize this tool. -Kendra
  11. I collect hairballs on a daily basis at 4 months out. I have always been a shedder, but right now it's like that post-partum hair loss I dealt with 8 years ago. Not fun.

    Later on in life...

Gosh, I don't know about the acid reducer. I stopped taking it because I didn't think I needed it. I guess I will ask about that...LOL At 4 months out there are still questions! -Kendra

    little frustrated

I am so there with ya- I am also 4 months out and the losses have really slowed. With me it might be because while I don't necessarily overeat, I can eat anything and I'm not choosing the "right" foods. For instance, I bought a box of WW ice cream bars. I am having one a day, which isn't terrible, but some greek yogurt with some fruit might be a better choice! Looks like I'm going to have to get back to basics...ugh. -Kendra

    dumping syndrome

You will get mixed answers to this. Some say no dumping with the sleeve, others were told differently. I was told that there is a possibility and I think I have experienced it- I ate a donut once and couldn't leave the house for hours. I also get increased heart rate when I drink Protein shakes. I asked my NUT about it and she said it was possibly dumping syndrome. If this is a concern of yours, the sleeve will be your best bet. If it does happen, it's less severe and less common than with RNY. -Kendra

    To all the Ohioians

I just sent the request- I am in Lancaster.
  17. Because it's not sustainable? Because most likely you will gain it all back plus some when you can't do it anymore? Any number of logical reasons. Hard to believe a doctor could be so short-sighted.
  18. How sad is this? This sounds like something I would do- I never liked the shakes, either. In fact, 4 months out I rarely have one...
  19. I just took this pic and noticed that my chins are GONE. I was really afraid they would stick around. Flabby tummy, but my neck survived! -Kendra
  20. I'm taking a "one daily" women's health vitamin/mineral supplement, 5000 mcg B-12, 5000 IU Vitamin D, 2 Calcium chews, and 500 mg Vitamin C. I used to take Iron supplements and Biotin as well, but I ran out of them and haven't bought more. Both are in the multivitamin- the iron is 100% daily recommended. I am 4 months out. -Kendra

    Really

I agree with this- I have my husband hide it from me. Or I put it in a place where it's not easily accessible, like on top of a shelf in a closet. That way I'm not jumping on it on a whim. As for daily weighing and thin people, I think for us sleevers who KNOW everyday that we are not overeating, the scale is not a good measurement- it's just a snapshot, not an overall picture of progress. I don't want to be a slave to that thing. I don't want my attitude for the day dictated by a number on the scale. That being said, daily weighing is probably not a bad idea during maintenance, after you've reached goal... -Kendra

    eating to much

The Mcmuffin in itself is not terrible, but I would be worried about being able to eat it all at 3 weeks post-op.

    Failed Gastric Sleeve

I see. I was just curious- thanks for responding- hope your reset goes well and you're back on the loser's bench soon.

    Failed Gastric Sleeve

Are you saying you think your sleeve is "stretched" and needs revision? Just wondering if you knew how that happened- do you feel you stuffed it? Otherwise, not sure how a revision would help. Not being snarky, I am really curious as to why somoeone would seek a revision.
