  1. No sedation? I've never heard of that. They've always gave me something to relax. I was in and out of consciousness. I just had one for other reasons not related to the gastric sleeve.
  2. The extra junk in the house only bothers me because I worry about him. I feel he's sabatoging his own health. I don't have to many problems with it affecting me and my eating habits. BUT, I'm afraid that sooner or later it will. He says he buys the junk for his teenage son whose only over here every other weekend. He buys grapes and bananas for me. Dribbling out information?
  3. @@mrsdean My husband keeps "teasing" me that I look even more beautiful, that I'll run off. As you said, "Silly boys!".
  4. Please keep us informed. We care.
  5. @@Babs Yes I'm in therapy. I'm bi-polar. I'm usually suffer from the major depression. I do take my medications. If I didn't, it would be, has been much worse. Sorry. Now I feel bad. I feel like I've complained to much if you've noticed the depression. Stress makes it worse.

  7. @@krista132 I never changed my weight on my drivers licence the whole time I was obese. No one ever said anything. I changed it last time. Now it's wrong again. I'm thinner now.
  8. @@miller1109 I'm 2 1/2 years out. I try not to weigh every day, by I usually do. I'm normally not hungry, but I also sometimes eat things I shouldn't. I too feel fat at times. My husband says I'm fine. He said that when I was 220. I just don't EVER want to go back to that. I barely eat. Only about 1 cup a day. My husband is worried I'm now becoming anorexic.
  9. Welcome. I had some pain, but it was very manageable. What does doctor say? Are you taking stool softeners?
  10. Sounds like he's the one with the personality issue.
  11. Sending prayers to you and yours. And adding an extra one for your wife.
  12. Hi! I live in Warrenton. But make lots of visits to Saint Charles to visit mom. My doctor was Dr. Jay Snow at Jefferson County Hospital.
  13. @@CloserToFine It's really not a big deal for me. Been going on for years. I understand why it would be upsetting for you. Maybe ask your PCP what he suggests for constipation.
  14. Great! What a wonderful milestone. Congratulations! Keep on pushin' on.
  15. Went to his seminar. My husband and I liked him. He explained everything. Told us why he would choose gastric sleeve for us. Took his time. Made us feel comfortable, even though he was 1 1/2 hours away.
  16. I never really felt that i was that over weight. No one said anything. I had no trouble with men. I married my soulmate. He always says you can't hide beautiful. My mother-in-law said something to the affect of her son always dating thinner woman. I don't think she meant anything about it, but it hurt and made me think. Then I got the pictures back from Hawaii. OMG! That couldn't be me. I started trying all sorts of diets. Loss 50 pounds, gain sixty back. One day my husband and I were listening to the radio, a commercial came on. My husband said I want to grow old with you. We were both obese. Him more than me. He was starting to have major health issues. That was the last straw. We decided to do it together.
  17. Okay, I'm going to admit something. Might make you laugh. I have a spaghetti strapped dress. I tried on my strapless bra. No way it's going to stay up. I tried the tube sock in the bra thing. Well, that somewhat helped the cup size. Unfortunately it did not help it was a 38. Sucker kept slipping down. Finally went into bathroom and did the whole unsnap and pull through the sleeve thing. Of course, both socks fell on the floor. I don't know if anyone saw, but I didn't open my purse the rest of the night. Husband thought this was hilarious.
  18. I bought new clothes last year, thought I was done loosing weight. Now I can put them on and take them off without unbuttoning them. I had lost another fifteen pounds.
  19. @@candygettingsleeved You should read this thread too. You shouldn't be talked to this way.
  20. Ugh! Gained three pounds back. I can't drive yet. I'm doing some excersizes at home. My husband doesn't help. Ice cream, cookies, chips and cakes... He had gastric sleeve surgery. He was 350, now he's 275. His BMI is still in the obese range. I worry he's stretching his stomach back out. He's also eating more. I'm worried about him too. I'm not eating the junk. I just don't want it in the house.
  21. I took the "gentle" laxitive. lol! I had two days of misery. This happens every couple of weeks. I have IBS on top of it. I've tried stool softeners an homeopathic remedies. I always end up going back to what works for me. I'm lucky if I have a bm once a week.
  22. I've gained three pounds back.
  23. I had two plateaus. I thought I would NEVER get past them. Don't give up. My fear now is gaining the weight back. I haven't exactly been following my plan AND I had total knee replacement surgery. Soooo no excersize of any kind. See I'm having my own pity party.
  24. I'm sorry this happened to you. Sounds like he doesn't deserve you. It is emotional and verbal abuse. They're always sorry. My husband has never once talked to me that way. He has always said you can't hide beauty.
  25. I don't know if it was dumping. I've never experienced anything like it. I hope you are feeling better. I have had extreme pain from constipation and the extreme cramps from the "gentle" laxitive.
