    Loved your post!
By the looks of it you don't need any help defending yourself.
    Some suggestions:
I can't eat finger food, I'm so hungry I might bite them off.
Thanks for your concern about my eating. How are your bowel movements?
I have to stop at the pet store for some new gold fish. I fried up the old ones last night.
I have to wear a mask in the summer. I'm afraid I'll breathe in a gnat and wreck my diet.
Could you sit with me at lunch? I'm afraid (food name) might not sit well and I need help cleaning up the projectile vomiting.
Yes, my diet is going well. My love life is ok too except I only have enough energy for 2 kisses and one longing gaze.

Good to know, thx! Right now, food just seems like a wasted effort to me. I care nothing about spending time to prepare anything tasty as I can only eat a few bites anyway. Don't get me wrong, so proud that I can no longer binge, but just think it's easier to grab a piece of cheese than to waste time on something I won't enjoy. Thanks for posting this. I'm 2 months out, looking forward to the day that food is 'worth it'. I will say, I got my prayer answered, to eat to live rather than live to eat so definitely not complaining

So I am 29yrs old. 5ft 11in. My start weight before surgery in Jan 30th was 291. Today I got 3times on the scale I been using, and my weight was 257.4 I am so happy and very excited. So proud to have lost 34lbs in just 5days. It's not easy trust me. But my secret is, get up from that bed and walk. Walk walk n walk. N drink lots of Water. On the 3rd day I started to power walk cuz I felt so much better. Can't wait to hit the 40's! Good luck to all just wanted to share this with all.

So, my surgery was 12/17. After a grueling stall, I have finally started losing again. As of this morning lost 39lbs since surgery, 49lbs total. While I have noticed my clothes getting looser, including my size 22 jeans, I have not tried on any new clothes...until tonight. I'm at Target with my 13 year old daughter and decided I would hesitantly try on size 18 jeans. I had already gave myself the pep talk to not be discouraged if/when they didn't fit, especially since they were Mossimo and in my previous shopping days, Mossimo was only made for twig b*****s! Anyway, so when I get the 18s zipped without having to suck in and hold my breath, I'm on top of the world. At this point, I could care less if these jeans cost $100, they are mine. Then my daughter (who wears those horrific skinny jeans) says, 'mom, those are too baggy, please take those off'. So....I try on the 16s and, oh yeah baby, I'm doing old school cabbage patch up in the Target dressing room. Perfect fit! I don't think I've ever bought a size 16 jean. If I remember correctly, I went from a 12 to 20 overnight after having my daughter. Ok, so here's the bummed part. I get home, so excited to tell my husband (who didn't want me to have surgery). I put the jeans on and strut out like I'm on a freaking catwalk! His response...'they're stretchy jeans, that doesn't really count'. Are you kidding me!? Doesn't count? Um, whatever, what a buzz kill! Yeah, guess who won't be touching this size 16 hiney for a while!

Sometimes it is hard for people to accept change! There is Pain in change! Sounds like he is worried that as you lose weight you will gain more self confidence and not put up with him any more! If he comes around that great because you guys are married, if he doesn't don't let his actions sabatoge your success. You will be a better mother as you progress through your journey, because you will be happier and have more energy to interact with your kids. This site is wonderful!! There are lot's of supportive people that can help you! God Bless!!!

I have United Healthcare and did not need the 6 mos diet. I provided everything else requested and was approved on the first submission within 4 days. I am now 2 weeks post op. Good luck and happy to help with how I documented everything.

You should know that low-carb diets like Atkins and South Beach are much more successful on the first/second attempt than they are on later attempts. That's especially true if you are or become insulin resistant. food funerals are bad for you, but it seems they are a part of our thought processes before surgery for all of us. You just have to do what you can to minimize them. If it helps, you will be able to eat anything you want post-op, just in smaller portions.
Good luck! I have no idea about the minimum amount you must lose before surgery. Ask your doctor for his/her requirements.
