    Need some hope

Never lose hope ladies. I suffered from PCOS and Obesity all of my life. Highest weight 289, surgery weight 261, I managed to get down to 158lbs before yes I became PREGNANT at 21 months post op. I am currently 13 weeks and baby is doing great, thank God. I never had regular cycles often put on birth control just to regulate them and progesterone to have a cycle. I even did 6 rounds of clomid a few years ago but never ovulated. Before surgery I had an IUD put in because I did not want to run the chance of maybe becoming pregnant too soon after surgery. I had the IUD removed in Aug. 2014 and with God's blessing became pregnant just 4 months later in Dec. No medical intervention, the only thing I did do was just Ovulation Predictor Kits to time intercourse as my cycles were long ranging from 35-40 days. This itself was a big step for me as I never had regular cycles but as soon as I got under 200lbs they started up on their own. Once you start to lose weight your hormones start to regulate themselves. My PCOS and Infertility was one of my 3 main reasons for having this surgery. So again I say to all of you lovely ladies never lose hope, God is good and you will see all your hopes and dreams come true in due time

    Post op FIRST time pregnancies

Congratulations to all of you expecting Mommies! I had vsg almost 15 months ago. Previously I had PCOS with barely any periods and tried clomid for 6 months with no luck. I went from 276 to 168. Im still not at goal but decided to have my IUD removed in August to try. As soon as I went under 200lbs I started getting normal periods. Good luck to all you girls

    Not enough calories?

I am also 2 months out today. I have stalled but only for a week or so. Sleeved 3/18/13 down 34lbs post-op and 15 pre-op. I too think I'm not getting enough calories or protein in. And I have to drink more water. I'm averaging 600-700 calories a day. Yesterday I went out to eat for the first time and neared 800. I eat high protein foods but still struggle to barely get to 60 grams/day. I guess my question is how many calories should I be at for 2 months. My NUT said at 3 months out I should be at 800.
  7. I can't find the packets only the water botttle. Going to have to make a trip to Pathmark.

    March sleevers.. Progress?

Thank you for posting this topic. I was sleeved 3/18 almost 6 weeks out and have lost 26 lbs. I thought it should be more by now. And this week haven't lost any weight at all. I'm still on soft/puree foods. I eat tilapia, pureed beans, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs and greek yogurt. About 500 calories a day and excercising 3 times a week. I hardly eat any carbs. I made an appt to see my NUT along with my surgeon next week bc I'm starting to feel discouraged. Maybe I'm not eating enough. Idk.
