    Giving Up

I feel your pain. As others have mentioned tracking what you eat. I use myfitnesspal and its pretty easy to see what Im eating, exercising, and it tracks everything. After reading some other posts, I'm wondering if Im eating or taking in too much. Dont give up, Im not even though Im wondering why some days. I feel like this was my last ditch effort after fighting the fat my entire life. I really had high hopes that this would finally give me the edge I needed to finally get it under control and I feel like its been all for not. But Im not giving up. I am losing inches, just not weight, go figure. Keep your head up and so will I.

    So Frustrated With Myself

I am right there with you. I had my surgery March 25. I've only lost about 35 pounds since the surgery. I've been trying to lose about 5 pounds now for two months. It just wont go away. I thought maybe I wasnt eating enough so I started to eat a little more, didn't make a difference. I joined a gym, I have been almost very day for at least two weeks, no difference. I try to drink more water, and more protein drinks, no difference. I dont know what to do, it is very depressing. I am stuck and never thought that I would be stuck like this so soon after having the surgery and thought I would have lost more by now. I use myfitnesspal to track everything, so I know what I'm taking in and know what calories I am burning. I just don't get it. I will support you Summer anyway I can because I am in the same boat, but right now to me I feel like Im on a sinking ship.

Not losing after VSG any advice?

I am having the same problem. I started using myfitnesspal about a week ago and am tracking everything. I put in 1000 calories. I don't know if thats too much or too little. When I go to the gym and burn 430 calories, of course it adds more calories for me to burn. What is the happy medium??? I cant find it. I've lost some inches and have gone down a few sizes, but the weight isn't going. At first I thought it was because I wasn't exercising much so I joined a gym about 3 weeks ago and I lost 4 pounds, now Im stuck again. I am not getting 75 grams of protein though, my doc said 50. I know at times its hard to get all my fluids in too but I've been trying harder lately to make sure I get more. I agree with everyone that its very discouraging. I feel like I went to extreme measures doing this surgery and knew I was going to have this battle again of losing, I just didn't expect it this soon.

    What am I doing Wrong?

I am getting my protein, keeping my carbs down. I am losing inches. I am using the program myfitnesspal which tracks everything. It just seems that the weight should be going down. A pound of fat is the same as a pound of muscles with the exception that a pound of muscle takes less space hence the loser clothes and muscle burns more calories than fat otherwise a pound is a pound. I was on a low carb diet in 2010 and I was taking in between 960 - 1050 calories a day and I lost weight just about every week. I am eating about the same except smaller quantities, as I was then and I'm just not losing. Is this normal?
  6. I had my surgery March 25. I feel like I've been doing everything right. But I am not losing weight like I did the first couple of months. For the past three months I have been lucky to lose 5 pounds. I started at a gym about a month ago, and have been going almost every day working my butt off (I wish) and I still am not hardly losing anything. Since my surgery I think I've lost about 45 pounds. From what I've read from others I think I should have lost more than that. I am watching what I eat, drinking my protien drinks, exercising more than I ever have and I'm getting no where. It is really starting to depress me. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions?
