  2. .So sorry Paul! Did you throw up and what did you eat? I think i may be eating too fast also. Think i will have refried beans tonight with my baby spoon.
  3. Dorian, i had a very rare situation happen. It was a incarcerated incisional hernia. They went in and repaired it and and put a screen across the hole so it would not happen again. After i got home from my bypass surgery i could not even eat a ice chip without having severe abdominal and back pain. The intestine was kinked off so nothing could pass through. Was back in the ER early Saturday moring and emergency surgery was done. They gave me morphine so pain was much better while i was getting prepped for the second surgery. Oh yes, really bad left side pain here too. So glad you are doing good. I have not lost anything, actually gained 8 pounds from all the fluids and my belly is so swollen. Each day will get better for all of us April post op's....WE DID IT....YIPEEEE!!!!...now on to a healthier life. Can't wait to be 6 months out!!!
  4. Hey all you post-ops....I'm back. I had surgery Monday April 22 and had a complication that required a second surgery Saturday. I'm back home and doing better. Sore as hell but i'm sure each day will get better. I can start milky protein today so excited about that. Hubs is out getting me some skim milk. Never ever thought I would be this excited about "skim milk"...LOL. Hope everyone is doing good and getting to know their pouches without any problems. God Bless.
  5. Good Luck and prayers to you KellBell....yep, i don't think we are going to get much sleep tonight!
  6. Prayers and luck are going out to you tomorrow Dorian.
  7. Thanks for the luck and prayers everyone....I woke up this morning with a terrible crick in my neck...I need pain meds asap ... I am taking this tablet that i really don't know how to work...If i can figure out how to get to this website on it...I will send an update as soon as i can. My surgery is at 7:30 am. Surprisingly my nerves are better today. Just took my shower with that special soap and about to hit the sack. Hope i can sleep....Good Luck to all the others going in for surgery tomorrow. Hoping you all have a speedy recovery with no problems. I'll be thinking of you all tomorrow. xoxoxo
  8. My surgery is tomorrow and at my pre-op appt I asked my dr if i will have a drain tube and he said i would have one in for a week. He said that is how he can tell what's going on inside. I was so hoping not to have one...but I'll deal with it
  9. Thanks! Can't wait to be on the other side of this journey.
  10. Hey ladies...my surgery is Monday! Somebody pinch me
  11. About to head out to my pre-op appt with my surgeon with list of questions in hand. I'm curious to know what my metabolic test said. Start pre-op diet tomorrow...surgery is Monday! Can't believe it's so close!!!
  12. That is awesome Krystal!!!
  13. Lots of activity and I've missed so much of the great news on here. I want to congratulate the ones who have had their surgeries the last few days...and all the ones who finally got a surgery date. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am Monday morning. Surgery is at 7:30. I don't know if its a good thing or a bad thing being the first patient on a Monday morning?
  14. So glad you are home safe and sound. That must feel really weird being full on such a small amount. Walk and sip, walk and sip, walk and sip.....
  15. Wow, so many have to do the two week pre op diet? I only have to diet 3 days before surgery??? Just goes to show how different doctors are. Still trying to decide what i want my last meal to be...
  16. Good Luck to all the ones going in for surgery tomorrow...How exciting!!!
  17. Does anyone use Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein Powder? I got it at Walmart. I really like the vanilla in skim milk. Hoping it's just as good after surgery
  18. I got some calcium citrate chewables and will have to do 4 of them a day....they are so gross! I came across UPCAL D powder that you can mix in with shakes or soups. They claim it's flavorless. Has anyone tried this? Here's the website for it. Would love to hear any thoughts on it. Thanks http://www.procarenow.com/UPCAL-D-Powdered-Calcium-20-oz-can_p_10055.html
