Looking For Dec Sleevers Out There
Ok my fellow sleevers. I was sleeved on 12/26 and trying to figure out what I can get down. Ive tried chicken broth (can get a couple of teaspoons down before my stomach tells me that's enough) ive tried SF jello with the same results. I have been sipping water all day. Am I being too impatient ?

I was sleeved 12/26 and I feel crappy. Not a lot of pain but my stomach is cramping. It doesn't seem to matter what i try. Water or broth. Anyone have any ideas?- Looking For Dec Sleevers Out There

Enuff is snuff ....... I wish I could meet you in person. You are such a positive influence and a wonderful person. My surgery is 12/26 and the closer it gets the more nervous I get. I am so tired of being fat. Definitely time for a new me. Thank you for the positive energy you send all of us. Bless you!- 6 weeks out
Congratulations to you! My date is 12/26 and I can't wait. Happy Holidays to you and yours.- Looking For Dec Sleevers Out There

I'm 6 days away - getting sleeved on 12/26. Finally settling into the pre op diet. I love reading the stories of those who have already had the surgery. Helps me stay motivated. For those who have already had surgery - is there anything that you took to the hospital that made things better?- Here I go ....
Thank you all for the advice. I finally found one I could tolerate and I'm going much better. Only 8 days to go!- First Step: Get this band out!
Good luck to you! During my first appointment with my surgeon I really had my mind set on a band. He talked me out of it and I'm SO GLAD. I'm getting sleeved 12/26.- PreOp Diet
The first 3 days are the roughest. I ate a LOT of extra SF Jello. I found that if I kept eating the Jello every couple hours - it kept me from starving. The best protein shake I found was ready made Adkins Advantage. I like the Milk chocolate flavor - tastes a lot like a real chocolate shake. You can get a four pack at Walmart or your local grocery store for a reasonable cost. So I start the day with a shake - eat the jello every two hours until it's lunch - then another shake - wait two hours and then jello.... It really has helped me. I also drank lots and lots and lots of water. I'm on day 6 and looking forward to my surgery on 12/26. At least then I won't FEEL hungry. Good luck to both of you. It really does get easier. Hang in there- Here I go ....
thanks - I'll give it a try- Here I go ....
I'm on day one of my pre-op liquid diet. Surgery is 12/26 so I have 2 full weeks to go. I am really struggling with the protein shakes. I've tried so many and don't really like any of them. Do any of you have any advice? Maybe I can get by with just water, SF Jello and SF popsicles? I know I should get protein in but I absolutely gag on the protein shakes.- sleevers 12/28 whats your goal weight
I'm 5'6" and I'm going for 150. I'm perfectly fine without the big butt, big belly and all that goes with those two!- Do I really have to do two weeks pre op?
I need some feedback. I'm scheduled to be sleeved on 12/26. When I met with the nutritionist - she said .... "you won't have to do the full two weeks of liquid diet based on your current weight" (257 so not that skinny!). Then I got the email from the bariatric coordinator with the standard attachment for a two week liquid diet. I'm confused. I have already started cutting down on what I eat and am currently down to 248 pounds. I think the whole purpose of the liquid diet is to shrink your liver. If I were to have a Protein shake for Breakfast and lunch and then eat a sensible dinner of grilled chicken and veggies .... as long as I lose weight before the surgery - I should be ok. Right? I understand it's all about commitment and I'm there. Has anyone strayed from the liquid diet (in moderation) and been refused surgery?- Pre-Op Begins today.. :(
Thanks for that great advice! I have invested lots of $$$$ in protein shakes but didn't even think about the meal replacement. I love this website I start my liquid diet on 12/12 in 4 short days which moves me 4 days closer to surgery on 12/26/12- Week 3 Foods
thanks for sharing! I have 18 days until surgery and I can't wait!- Havent Been Here In A While........
Ouch ! Sorry to hear about your poor toes We are getting sleeved on the same day - we'll need to keep in touch. - miserable
