  1. Did anyone wear undies? Lol I'll seriously feel ok as long as I have chonies on
  2. Who all is having surgery next week? I leave Sunday for surgery Monday and have been having anxiety attacks. I'm getting nervous, can't wait for the surgery to be over and to be back home. I know it'll be worth it in the end it's just the day prior to surgery and surgery day that make me the most nervous! What's everyone doing (or have done) to remain calm in those final days?
  3. Holy crap that's big! I didn't realize our stomachs could be so big
  4. Thanks for the info but personally not all of it sounds that bad in my opinion. The only part of your post that bothered me was seeing another patient in the OR, that's not cool. everything else I can deal with but glad to hear what some of the non pleasant things might be
  5. Yay thanks for the update I am looking forward to being cold it's no fun sweating when everyone else is freezing
  6. Yeah I'm sure I can make it through the day before surgery with drinking juice and such but I worry about surgery day. I just emailed my coordinator and asked. Once I hear back from her I will post what she says
  7. Lol Sunday is my last day been thinking about going to in N out also
  8. I'm worried about the clear liquid day prior to surgery and no liquids day of surgery. I suffer from hypoglycemia, and easily feel faint from it. anyone else experience this prior to surgery? Is there anything they can do to prevent it prior to surgery? I intend to talk with dr Garcia about it but was wondering if anyone had any input
  9. Ahh that makes sense, thanks jay
  10. Glad to hear you're doing we'll. it seems to be a common theme with them having trouble starting IVs why is that? At this point I pretty much accept that will be part of the experience
  11. I'm being sleeved march 11th in mexico
  12. I was wondering the same thing. I got a loose pair of pj pants and a t shirt plus a nightgown. That way I can wear whatever I want. On a side note I bought the pants from the thrift store as I didn't have any loose pj pants already and didn't wanna spend a lot of money on something I won't be wearing for long.
  13. For my mom I won't be using them lol
  14. Was wondering if the Marriott has a microwave, coffee pot or mini fridge in the rooms?
  15. I'm also taking extra bandages, neosporin and antibacterial soap. Also taking a small pillow for the travel home
  16. I'm going to the bank tomorrow to get the money for the surgery and was wondering how much cash to take to Tijuana? Im hoping I can use my visa for things at the hotel Marriott and hopefully for my moms meals (does anyone have experience with using visa down there. is it widely accepted? are there fees to use it?) thinking taking 50-75$ cash just for tipping. I really want to take as little cash as possible. What did everyone take or plan to take?
  17. Does anyone know if dr Garcia does an EKG prior to surgery? Thanks
  18. Alma does reply incredibly quick my guess is you and or she have email addresses incorrect. Try again she is ridiculously quick in email responses
  19. March 11th with dr Garcia at midoctor. Hopefully I won't have to push the surgery back due to a throat ulcer
  20. Just wondering if I will really need this? Also where can I buy it? All I can find is children's or stuff for colds
  21. I know I read somewhere that the marriot is now charging for wifi, does anyone know how much and is it a one time charge or daily rate? Also is the wifi at midoctor free? Thanks!
