  1. Wow, I just got my approval letter from BCBS of IL too and I am hopping to be scheduled on the 9th!...or sooner!
  2. You have been waiting since December 4th? Has your surgeon's office called to get an update or least confirmed that your insurance got your request? I used to work with medical insurance companies. Might want to check on things and make sure no one has dropped the ball.
  3. LOLOLOLOL! Okay, now I wasn't going to respond to this Not even when I read that it has been called "suzie" but "twinkie"?!!! LOLOOL! I am in tears! TOOO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMBO about lunch time! YOU ARE HOOLARRYIOUS!
  4. WOOO HOOO! Bring it on is right! I am hoping for Jan 9th or any date before the 23rd. Secret goal! LOL!
  5. Congratulations! You must be thrilled to have a date! I am hoping to have surgery in January. Hope all goes well with you! Please keep us posted!
  6. I am pre-op but researched that loosing 2-5lbs a week is a healthy slow rate to lose at. So if you go by what your Nut recommend for you, that is about 12 lbs a month (12lbs also = a dress size) or 3 lbs a week. Which in my opinion is pretty good, but letting your body decide is very good advice. LOL! I have 200lbs to lose to get to my goal, if I could loose 5 or more lbs a week for a year, I might make it! Hope this helps, please, keep us posted!
  7. I agree! I have researched that GERD can still be a problem with RNY, so why deal with malabsorption, dehydration and all that plus still possibly struggle with GERD? From what I understand you take a chance having GERD no matter what wls you choose. I have it and neither my surgeon nor my cardiologist was worried, as I really don't have symptoms now. I may have to take something post-op according to my surgery packet. Any who, you might want to find out why your surgeon will or will not before the sleeve on you because of GERD, getting a second opinion probably wouldn't hurt. Sometimes we have to fight for what we want/need. Please keep us posted. I am sure everything will go well with you. Kind regards, Missymellie33
  8. Congrats on being 3 days post-op! Did you take your Vitamins pre-op too? I was told I would have to get B12 shots, but I said "NOT IF I CAN HELP IT! LOL! I don't understand why I would need the shots if my multi has b Vitamin in it and I am taking a liquid b complex with b12 in it. Anyway, I can't believe the vitamins are already working.. the taste is a little difficult, but I think it is worth it!
  9. Hello! I understand completely. I am pre-op too...and girl I have the shopping bug! Even though, I haven't bought things in my current size, I have bought things to wear as I am loosing and a "goal out fit". IT WAS ALL ON SALE, so how could I pass it up?! LOL! I bought my goal dress and it looks so tiny, I can't believe that next year round this time I will be able to fit it or it maybe too big who knows? It is a 14. So my thing is if it is on sale go for it. It will probably inspire us when the journey gets a little tough to keep going. Best regards, Missymellie33
  10. I am pre-op, but the Wellesse brand has a Multivitamin, calcium/vitamin D, and B complex all available in liquid form. I am taking a multi, now but will start the others a.s.ap. Just thought I would add my two cents! LOL!
  11. Congratulations on your loss, you must feel amazing! WOW! That is a lot of clothing....I am pre-op but I sell a lot of stuff on ebay and my local craigslist. You might want to try those options, because you will get a small percentage back from the consignment shop. Hope all goes well!
  12. MsFab..... Does he really deserve another chance? One more chance to do what? Hurt you, curse you, falsely accuse you, be jealous of you? Emotionally abuse you? Which one? I am just saying....
  13. Also, when you break from him, don't go back...seriously the jealous ones are the crazy ones..if you know what I mean. I'm just saying, be careful!
  14. MsFab...... I am so sorry this is happening, but when someone shows you who they are believe them! You can't always believe what they "tell" you, believe what they "show" you. If he is showing you that he is not a "go out and party person" then he probably won't change, if he is showing you that he is jealous, then he is. Love is not jealous. If he really was into you and the relationship he would be willing to do more of the things you want to do. Shouldn't have to get cussed out, because he don't want to grow up. Please, you are a pretty girl, you are young, don't waste your time. RUN!!!!!!!! -Missymellie33
