  1. I've seen a lot of mentions of chili, does anyone have a recipe or canned suggestion?
  2. My surgeon mentioned this to me, it is believed to have to do with hormones...much like a pregnant woman. The other day I was with my mom & she ran through a drive thru for a small cheeseburger, it smelled like a giant pickle!!
  3. VSG is just a tool, it's still up to the individual to make the right food and exercise choices. Everyone has a different story so I'm not sure why some aren't successful.
  4. I say do it when you want to, heavy or not, if you love the person, it will most likely be "good". You'll probably have more lingerie options when you are thinner, though.
  5. I do (did) hot yoga but have taken a break as I'm only 7 days post-op. It's pricey but great. Again, you need to make sure you are able to get tons of Water in. The first 3 sessions are the hardest but stick with it, it gets easier - just don't leave the room!
  6. I'm down 13.8. Last Thurs & Fri were rough on the head hunger. I'm looking forward to eating something other than a Protein shake. Having French onion Soup and cream of mushroom at various holiday gatherings this week. Still having a hard time getting in all my liquids. I go back to the NUT on Jan. 3 for the next phase. How are you doing?

Were you ever able to eat queso again? I'd imagine it wouldn't be that great for sleevers.

I am dizzy today, today. Sleeved on Dec. 17. I definitely haven't been drinking enough water/protein. Working on it, though.
  9. I have never been so gassy in my life. Last night was very uncomfortable for me. I have had lots of thoughts & feelings about food and I agree, I can't wait until my first bite of real food. Unfortunately that won't be until at least Jan. 3!
  10. Feeling better today, I have never been this gassy in my life!
  11. This is the first time I've even been on my phone. Surgery was Monday around 1pm and then I spent 3-4 hours in recovery vomitting. Finally got to my room around 8pm Monday night. I have never been in so much pain. I've been walking as much as possible, standing up or laying down is what is most comfortable. Otherwise, horrible heartburn. Just started 30cc every half hour of Glucerna & that takes much better than Water. I'll probably go home tonight or in the AM. Praying I begin to heal faster, I just want to sleep! How's everyone else?
  12. Tomorrow is my day, too. Clear liquids have been hard!!!!! Good luck tomorrow!
  13. For the life of me I can't remember if my NUT told me to include Protein Drinks with my clear liquid diet the day before surgery. Did you do Protein Shakes the day before? To be on the safe side, I won't do them but I'm do annoyed that I can't remember!
  14. I'm sleeved on Monday and have no idea what this is but have seen it mentioned a few times.
  15. For the better? For the worse? My husband is very supportive but I'm just curious what this did for others. Eating out & drinking will totally change for me & that means for him, too.
  16. I would not do that. When is your surgery? The phentermine could affect your heart & EKG results. Sounds like your sx is just a few weeks away, if you are fighting hunger cravings, call the Nut & see what they suggest. Mine basically said we could have as much Protein and veggies as we want.
  17. After your VSG, how long until PCOS symptoms subsided?
  18. First day of pre-op diet (protein shakes & 1 sensible meal), and I've had horrible diarrhea. Anyone else?
  19. 2 nights, home on the 3rd day.
  20. I'm the 17th, also in Dallas. I see Dr. Scott at UTSW. Someone canceled yesterday & I took their spot. Crazy!!! It's been very fast once I got approved.
