Dr wanted to take me off mine but my symptoms wont let me function. Nausea, vomiting, anxiety, hot flashes, night sweats, formication (arms, legs)...ugh. so I refused to take my patch off during sx and after. Im just a slow loser i guess but a loser nonetheless:-)

I've been losing weight but slowly. I'm averaging 500-600 cal a day, 70-80 grams Protein, <55grams carbs. Im wondering if it's not my hrt slowing my loss because hrt tends to make ppl gain weight. Anyone on hrt?

I feel ya! I have started buying the 8oz bottles because it just seems easier to get down. I USED to luv drinking Water and never had issues but it's different now. I have tried crystal light and mio but everything just tastes too sweet:-\ I guess it's a good problem to have because I don't crave anything sweet at all. Makes me nauseous. ..I luv ur pics! I live in the tx panhandle...nothing pretty here!! Congrats on ur weightloss!!

I too have Aetna' date=' all plans are different. I had to have 6 mo nutritional plan, submit 2 yrs of weight history from PCP, psych eval, & EGD.[/quote']
I have aetna too. I did all the above except for the egd. Took about 1 month to get approved because I only had 1 yr of weight hx but I still was approved because I had several yrs prior to the 1 yr I skipped goin to the dr.

I had a hysterectomy before my sleeve. I have been on hrt for a little over a yr and I know it causes weight gain. Im losing weight but compared to others im losing slowly. I can't get off my hrt because of awful menopause symptoms (even though I still have both ovaries and hormone levels test normal) Are y'all on hrt?

Wow...I think your doing good! It took me forever and still struggle to get 70grams of Protein in. Yesterday I got 55 grams and couldn't eat anymore. I too lost the most weight during my 1st wk and stalled like 2-3 wks. The weightloss will come just be patient!!

Repeating weeks is a great strategy to help you finish the program! However' date=' why are you doing c25k if you hate running/walking? Feeling great afterwards is wonderful, but sometimes it might be hard to get started if you really dislike it. I would recommend that you pick and stick with an exercise that you enjoy. This will help you stick with it. You get a great calorie burn with zumba and taebo as well. I love zumba and for some reason I always am sore after zumba. Lol! Keep running too if that's what you choose to do.[/quote']
Yea thats what I was thinking. Im doin an app on my treadmill 3xs a wk now and in between zumba:-) im goin to throw in Water aerobics as soon as it warms up. Tx panhandle too cold right now. Maybe after I drop more weight I can run but right now im doin the brisk walk uphill on that app and im losing lbs still!

Idk y im losing so slow. I have been working out going on 3 wks because of set backs so my hubby thinks it's that. Im only getting in on average 500cal a day and that's including 2 Snacks. I cant seem to even get to 700 on a good day! I get 70-80 grams of Protein a day but just cant seem to get more than 40oz of fluids a day. Im not going to complain because I do feel a lot better with the changes I have made and im losing lbs:-)

I started at 248 and in a little over 2 months- I have lost 52lbs. I would say 60+ can happen . Good luck! I'm so glad my dr didn't require me to lose weight pre-surgery. Good luck!!!!What is ur diet like?? Im 2 months and have lost 26lbs...
is pasta really that bad for you, when you can only eat 2oz ?

I haven't eaten any kind of pastas. I only like spaghetti and rice. We eat more rice at my home than anything. Kids love mexican rice and cinnamon rice both very fattening...lol. I have a list from my NUT about carbs and servings. I can have anything I want but I have to choose what I eat and how much. My average carb intake has been <55 grams/day. My NUT was very unhappy and I was told I needed to increase to 93-120 grams daily:-\ Im going to try whole wheat Pasta and pray it goes well. I've added a slice of bread to my diet...pepperidge farms very thin wheat bread. She also wants me to add 2 servings of fruit and veggies daily...ugh! She said not to see it as a diet but lifestyle change that I can maintain for the rest of my life.
