    I have been trying bars for in the morning instead of just of coffee. I haven't found the ones yet lol. I have Protein mix there but just looking at it just turns my stomach! I too feel like I can eat way more than 1 cup like my nutritionist said day #1 I will cut out all sweets, decrease carbs and walk at least 2 miles a day. Its a good start! I found a beef Jerky that I like (no mans land spicy) and I started to snack on that for lunch at work because I was skipping lunch then pig out at home then get hungry again at bedtime. I have been walking on and off and I'm doing good. There hasnt been anymore pain in my leg(knock on wood)!! Thank God!! The holidays just killed the start of my diet so I'm starting Friday morning! I also stopped weighing myself everyday because when I was doing that and I didn't see the scale move I got frustrated. So I weigh myself weekly. Happy New Year ladies! Let's just take it one at a time and do what works for you!

    Thanks for posting. I am struggling with all the same things. Many more of us are than post here. So the fact that you posted is great.

    I hope you can start back again. Remember how proud you were of yourself and how good you felt when you struted around, all sexy?? Get back too it! We can do this. Please see above, I responded to alma with a food snack idea. Keep us posted and keep the faith. We did it and we can do it again.

    Well, I haven't been here for a long time. Nothing positive to share so why bother visiting the forums. Here's my update. Initially I lost 80 lbs, my risk to Type 2 Diabeties disappeared, my Cholestral changed for the better. But guess what! High calories fit in small places. Yup chocolate, wine. Never drank wine before but now I do. My stomach stretched a LOT! It holds about 16 ozs now. Gained back over 35 lbs. Wearing the same clothes as when I started this journey. I chose Vertical Gastric Sleeve surgery because I felt that I didn't need the extreme reduction to the stomach size as the other surgery choice. I was wrong. And from what I understand even people that have had the Roux-en Y stomach surgery can become morbidly obese after an initial weight-loss. :/

    Well I'm not too happy with my progress. I'm at 165#. Last time I was at 155# and maintained for a long time. I started to get back on my Protein Shakes and work out but I hurt my right leg. Don't know if its sciatic or hamstring or what! Been battling skin infections too. I'm trying to get back on track but working Mon-Fri and watching grand baby Fri-Sun is just killing me! I'm going to have to just suck it up and at least walk everyday. Hang in there ladies and good luck. Alma


  3. I pray that you heal quickly! I have no excuse other than me just slacking at work. 12 hour shifts are just so long and sometimes I get busy and wouldn't eat anything all day so when I would get home I would eat but then keep snacking. Even after 2 yrs I'm still not drinking nearly enough fluids. I have to get on a workout routine because walking/jogging on treadmill gets old quick. I have scales and I will look into the volumetrics. Its just getting back on track and finding a routine that works. Good luck everyone!!!


  4. My nut said that by 1yr out I would be able to eat 1 cup at each meal. I'm a yr post op and I am eatin about a cup twice a day. I can't tolerate anything at Breakfast except my Protein Shake and I follow it up with a cup of coffee with Protein. I have at least 2 Snacks like 1 oz beef Jerky or a Greek yogurt with nuts added(sometimes it's too much). My nut said I need to up my animal protein but I'm struggling with that still. I TRY to keep each meal at about 250 cal with protein first. Do y'all ever get tired of eatin meat and just want a salad? ? I do A LOT! Good luck!!

    Same body type here! I've got the same loose skin on arms belly and thighs. I haven't lost as much weight though. U look 100xs better than I do! Wow congrats!

  6. I am right there with you Almam...We have been in a hotel waiting for our house to be ready for over 2 weeks I have had a hard time sticking to only "good" eating . The scale is staying between 148-149 at least I have not gained :/

    Its hard when ur not at home with a routine. 2 wks in a hotel would drive me crazy! I traveled 1 yr with the hubby and I had to come home bcuz of the awful headaches I would get. Cleaning lady thought I was crazy bcuz I would clean the room myself lol. We have been home for about a wk and I have been nonstop busy beforw I go back to work tomorrow so I haven't started exercising again:-( I'm hanging in at 149#! I'm hoping Saturday all will fall into place and back into working out (even though I have to deep clean the house)! Lol

  7. Hello all! Just wanted to check in. Sleeved 11/15. HW: 300 CW: 181. 119 lbs gone!

    Grazing and old habits are trying to creep back in. Anyone tried the 5 day pouch test? I've heard some say it works' date=' others say its a "crash" diet. I just need to get my mind back into the game. I'm not gaining and am still losing fine, but I know things can get out of hand if I let them.

    Wow...congrats! What's the pouch test? I went on vacation and didn't stick to my diet so when I arrived today I was surprised that I hadn't gain any weight! I maintained at 149#. I think the grazing is the hardest thing for me bcuz then I get full off of empty calories and don't get enough Protein in those days.

I use an elliptical too...and other than ab work like crunches and doing push ups and planks that is all I do and not crazy amounts either I try to get 30 mins 5-6 days a week on elliptical but when I am busy it ends up being 3 days at 60 mins. I am considering either crossfit or a personal trainer next but idk . I have a bow flex at home but I still haven't pushed myself to learn to use it lol.

    I usually do 60 min 4-5 days a wk. I'm goin to change it up after I get back from vacation and see how that goes!

    U look fabulous! Do u mind me askin what ur work out routine is? I bought an elliptical bcuz I was walkin/joggin on a treadmill but my arms, legs and tummy r very loose. Someone posted that they felt firmer when they started using an elliptical. I also started a short work out program that my trainer said to do but its only 2x a wk. I'm goin to step it up to 3x. It doesnt include anything for the tummy area though.

  11. I don't know where exactly you are- but I know of a great Doc in DFW. My moms BFF had RNY years ago- and had plastics after- this same doc did my best friend from

    High schools boob job and has now done a Tummy Tuck on my grown up best friend. He's ridiculously amazing.

    I'm near Amarillo. ..so dfw is sbout a 5 hr drive for me.

Yes that is why I will do 2 stages probably bc from what I have researched so far there tends to be less or slower re sagging if implants are done after you are healed from lift or vice versa...I am researching a ton and I will pay more if I need to in order to get in done right...I am considering having mine done by Dr.Green in Sacramento near my moms he is a leading plastic surgeon for weightloss patients.Or Dr.Barone who was in US News Top Plastic Surgeons she specializes in breasts but does it all and is in San Antonio which is where I live now...

    Yes its worth it if u know the dr is good at what they do. I live in the tx panhandle if not I would go to the 1 in san antonio. I hope to find a good dr here.

My friend told another friend that I look like I just got out of prison when I walk as I am so much freer. Having to wear a sports bra now when I'm walking but that is ok!!     Upper inner thighs r crazy! I wear body shapers to keep from being seen how bad they r. Jeans r ok but thinner materials really show that I need work done:-( I havr to concentrate on the tummy and boobs bcuz I think they r worse!

  14. Like Buckeye I plan on going all out size plus lift probably in stages :) still researching too!

    I want to go up in size too but I know for sure a lift is needed! I wonder if they will sag with time if goin a size bigger...I just don't want anymore surgeries after that. So i need to start researching. It cost my sis in law $8k to get a tt not sure if boob job was included. My mom paid $3k(in Mexico) for tt and Lipo (2 surgeries) and he did an awrsome job. He did the back also with the 1st sx and it made a whole lot of difference than just workin on the tummy. I would go to him but I sometimes have complications after sx I don't want to risk it!

  15. My first was 9lbs 4 oz and I did not have diabetes.Second was 7lbs 8 oz and my Third was 9lbs even everyone kept asking if I was diabetic bc of my 2 monster babies but nope that is just how they grew :)My boobs are very deflated like empty sacs almost.I am

    Also hoping with TT some of the scarring I have goes with the skin that is removed and can you say stretch marks I didn't gain much with my pregnancies 20lbs each time but my stomach got HUGE and I have tons of stripes.

    boobs r the same here...very deflated looking. I have a ton of stretch marks too. I'm debating on boob lift or bigger size...have yall looked into it yet?

  16. This is what my plan is ...I am 5'2 and my personal goal is 130 but I will really just go until I feel comfortable. I am def going to need some plastics for stomach and breasts after all the trauma I have put them through(3 csections weight gains and losses along with breast feeding) I am 150 today :) I do want to stay curvy and have thus far so we shall see:)

    I've had 3 kids (no c sections) and with each I thought my boobies were gonna explode..lol. ugh i finally hit 150 a few days ago but have been bouncing back snd forth 150 to 152...can't seem to break the stall!!

  17. How tall are you? Have you been exercising? I've been exercising on my own and I'm starting with a personal trainer on Monday :)

    I'm 5' and I was walkin at first but I'm now using an elliptical 4-5 days a wk. Plus started a short program with a trainer. Its not hard but I really need to work on my tummy!
