  1. I wish I did this when I was 19!! Good luck to you - loving your positive vibe
  2. I have a cook and a maid. But my wife gives me the silent treatment when I call her that!
  3. And now my kids are on school holidays and going back in a week and a bit. I've told them I've made new school bags out of my left over stomach, because I don't like waste.
  4. 105 pounds - GET OUT
  5. Hello! I'm so used to seeing you on 'our thread', seeing you here is like bumping into someone where you don't expect to see them :)
  6. I'm 10 weeks out and for me, I couldn't imagine eating a bite of a Big Mac let alone a half. Pre op I'd crave a Big Mac so I'd have one and it was always one of those things that I'd think 'I really didn't enjoy that'. Until 6 months later and I'd be out on a job and my dinner at the station so I have another one. Same thing. I find the sleeve gives me some control to think 'hey dude remember you don't like that #$%t' and I make a better choice. Horses for courses, Deano
  7. I eat 6 times a day as directed and told not to graze. Foe me, grazing is mindless eating. My meals are planned.
  8. Was that when big Ron would give her a nod and a wink?
  9. For me, I couldn't write a letter like that. I went into this procedure with my eyes wide open but optimistic. I have 8 year old twin girls. I was completely transparent with them, but age appropriate. I explained the procedure to them and what affect that would have after the surgery. I reassured them that I'd be alright, because that's my job. I guess I could get killed at work, in a plane, crossing the street. I've seen people die at the dentist after a reaction to something they were given. Actually I've seen people die in lots of strange ways, but that's another story. I'd hate them to read a letter later and think 'he was worried enough to write a letter, so why did he do it'. They know I love them with all my heart, because I tell them every day. Long story short - the best policy with kids is to be age appropriate and honest. My thoughts. Good luck with the way you go. Deano
  10. Yep, I do. But it's only a snack in the am and one in the pm. If I waited 30 mins either side of my old style snacking, I be one dehydrated mofo!
  11. Stinkin Thinkin I'm gunna use that!
  12. I'm 10 weeks post and I noticed I'm handling heavier Protein a lot better. Overly fatty things don't do it for me. My wife makes a killer Christmas cake (actually my great grandmothers recipe) But it has a good dose of butter in it. I took one bite over Christmas and woooooooh-mama. Not good.
  13. I wish there was a PMP emoticon
  14. Sorry for hijacking your thread. To be honest, for me, the days of fast food as we know it are over. There's a girl on my office who has had a band for ages. She's lost nearly no weight. She's a single mum and takes her daughter to McDonalds a couple of times a week for dinner. At times I've seen her complain about the band not working and if someone brings up fast food she says "but I only have it in moderation". Long story short - there are lots of better options
  15. Just trying to lighten the mood, don't throw rocks at me :)
  16. World Wide Web ............ I thought WWW stood for World Wide Waste of time
  17. I saw those little eggy crab cakes. They looked rockin.
  18. and the bread - I think most burger buns are technically cake they have so much sugar in them
  19. All those poor baby crabs .........
  20. Yeah I guess. Maybe the ones you make But how much fat is in a commercial burger pattie and the processed cheese, how much protein is in a commercial processed cheese slice? - blah I'm sure you could knock up a healthy version - with real cheese!
  21. Everybodies opinions are subjective. I love VSG - because it seems like I'm getting a great outcome. The OP hates it with a passion. I can understand why she does, and so would I if I'd walked in her shoes. I'm happy for anyone to post their subjective opinion on VST - I do it every day! As for the verasity of the story. Who knows? But how about giving someone the benefit of the doubt, you may just have verbally slayed someone who has had a rough experience. And everybody reading between the lines of the original post - I am a Detective (not a virtual one ) and there's nothing, NOTHING, in the original post that would tell you weather it's fact or fiction. So have a heart! Deano
