  1. Not everyone gets hungry, from reading posts hunger is the minority so hopefully you fall into that category. Best of luck!
  2. Yes! It's horrible! I feel like something didn't work or something is wrong with me. I spoke with my surgeon's nurse and she said that I am not taking in enough protein but I get at least 60-75 grams daily. Tonight I made myself some real instant potatoes with chicken broth and I feel a lot better, though I know it's not the best thing to eat so anyone wanting to lecture, please don't. This should be a place to freely vent and share our emotions, obstacles, and successes freely. I meet with my surgeon this Friday and I will talk to him about it. Most of the time I want to cry and I am afraid to get on the scale to see if I lost anything since surgery on the 14th. The gas is getting better though. My sister just got her date of 12/17/12, Yay! Anyways, thanks for the support all and letting me vent...
  3. thank you I am going to try it tomorrow
  4. Omg! you describe exactly the way I have been feeling but I could not describe it.
  5. Congrats!!! Your almost at your goal, you must feel awesome and very proud of yourself. What kind of soup were you able to eat. I just tried the broth from a variety of canned soups to at least get the flavor but I didn't like them. I get spasms too, out of nowhere...
  6. Thank you for the advice, I couldn't find the strips, only chewables so I got those.
  7. IDK if it's normal but it keeps happening to me as well, like it's flipping or something. Well at least we're not alone...
  8. I don't have GroupMe chat, is it something we need to download?
  9. Hey Ladies, Diamond, welcome and it would be nice to have you, let's stay in touch and support one another as well. Maia, why do they have you in the hospital so long? I'm so sorry to hear your in pain! You shouldn't be, they should be loading you up with meds until your comfortable. They can also give you something for the nausea and to help you sleep. When do you get to go home honey? I hope soon. We're here for you! My biggest issue is gas, too much of it and it's a challenge to get it out. I'm still hungry but I'm sticking to clear liquids, wish me luck...
  10. I got my surgery yesterday the 14th. Since we're both so new let's stay in touch and support one another? I'm also an emotional eater and I think you're absolutely right, we won't miss food once the weight starts falling off. I've been really hungry or it could be thirst but it feels like hunger. What are you sipping on? I'm sipping water, Isopure, and broth so far. I'll be glad when this hungry feeling goes away...
  11. Thank you so much for the inspiring and encouraging words. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to respond to me. I am sipping alternately between water, broth, and Isopure. Maybe I am thirsty and I didn't even think of my brain going through it too. Congrats on your 42 lbs lost! Ok, breathe, walk, and sip, got it. I will keep that replaying in my head. Thanks again!
  12. Hello All, This is my first day after surgery and I have a lot of gas and I'm hungry! For some reason I am hungry and so far no matter how much water,Isopure, and broth I drink. Most of the people who were in my classes with me and have already had their surgery are not hungry. It figures that I'm so fat that even after surgery I'm still hungry. I thought I wouldn't get hungry, or at least not as much. It's constant or maybe I'm confusing it with some sort of weird pain I'm mistaking for hunger. I feel like I could eat normally, though I wouldn't dare try it! Is this normal and if so for how long? How long will I be in pain? Please help...
