  1. I agree! as i cross my legs.
  2. I have lost exactly 100 pounds in about 5 months which is really fast. The key for me is i started to workout right after surgery about a month out. So working out helped me not get tons of skin. So like eazye i dont have skin problems. The only problem that i have is a little i mean little skin around my belly button. I have to tell myself that i am only 5 months out and i can most likely get that off. If i cant get it off i have considered getting it removed. I would tell you to create a workout regiment so that you can help your body heal and shrink.
  3. I agree with everyone no carbonated drinks. I made the mistake of ordering a lemonade while out to eat one day thinking it was regular lemonade. Well it wasnt. I had a couple of sips seeing that it was my first carbonated drink in nearly 4 months i didnt recognize the taste right away. Oh boy my stomach did and didnt like it. So that was my first and last trip up with carbonated drinks! I do believe everyone is different. I have a friend who had the sleeve and chugs dr. peppers.
  4. I had the surgery the last week of November 2012. I went back after about a month and half. So i started in Feb of this year. I boxed prior to my hiatus so getting back wasnt a big leap besides being tired and out of shape. But now problems or complications that can be linked with my surgery.
  5. I've went back boxing after about a month. I have a before and after check it out
  6. ive never crushed a pill in the 5 months since i had surgery. I was able to get my pills down right after surgery.
  7. Hope this works 5'10 300 after 5"10 202 5 months out
  8. I was sleeved 11/19 a little before that date. I was 300 i weight 202 today. im 5"10 and im hooked on gummy bears! oh the shame!
  9. I took a couple of heartburn meds until i found one that worked. I take lansoprazole once a day I order it from amazon for 20$ for a 3 pack of 14 day treatment per bottle so that about 42 pills. I take it everyday faithfully. Hope this helps. and i am 5 months out as well.
  10. I agree i think you should do what is best for you. I went to mexico and i have lost 100 pounds in 5 and half months. I have no complications. I have had to get used to my new body, eating habits and the reflux. Thats about it. I would suggest talking to someone who has been to mexico for the sleeve. My ex girlfriend was the reason why i went, she didnt have any complications either. I was a self-pay i could not afford the us prices of 12-30k as opposed to the 4k that i paid in mexico and i was put up in a hotel for my entire stay, the food and water and drinks were also free. All of my meds and aftercare were also free. There is a huge community of people who have had surgeries in Mexico who support each other. I wish you the best on your journey. Take care.
  11. looking great! You look 10 year younger.
  12. Milwaukee! Had the sleeve 5 months ago....down about 90 pounds. Hope you find the support you need! Im a open book ask and ye shall recieve! Good Luck
  13. I said the same thing. I was not naked!...lol
  14. I had none of this. I was sleeved by Dr. Garcia at Mi Doctor. I remember waking up briefly after the surgery i was clothed. They didnt strip me naked anyway? There is a difference in between not having a solid stool and runny stool. I didnt have diarehha but i didnt have runny stool because there were not solids in my body on Water. But im sorry to hear about your negative experience and complications. I would hope that this does not deter others from Mi Doctor because the hotel and staff members are great. Rosie (coordinator) was also available the entire time that i was there. I didnt have a problem with waiting for surgery....i was chillin honestly. Time off of work, no kids, no spouse, just me the 2 american stations and my music.
  15. I eat corn at least once a week and it has not affected any weight loss etc.....
  16. I didnt worry myself with weight numbers or protein numbers at first. Its to difficult to take in food and keep it down. I just listened to my body and took my vitamins and supplements as directed. The weight will come off , it has no other choice. I wish i could eat 1000 calories a day! and im nearly 3 months out. My proteins come from other places other than meat because its so hard to keep down and stay down. A little advice would be listen to your body dont look at the scale because it will frustrate you. Listen to your body it wont steer you wrong. Good luck
  17. I take a mild laxative every other day. My doctor said that i might have to do this for a while.
  18. I just took a couple days of Vacation and rested that weekend and went back to work on Monday morning.
  19. I work out in between 3 or 4 days a week. Honestly i sont count carbs and protein and things. Its so hard just to eat so i dont really worry. But i have limited how much carbs i eat. I dont eat things like fried chicken. I just to get food in....healthy foods
  20. Yes that is from Novemeber when i was sleeved. I've always been really athletic so i credit working out with the amount that i have lost thus far. I have slowed down considerably....1 pound here 2 pounds there lost. But its over all a good change and people have been saying that they didnt recognize me.
  21. Sorry the other pic isnt the best quality but im sure you get the picture. Im currently in week 12 Before 299.7 After 230.1
  22. I was sleeved by Dr. Garcia 11/19/12. Wonder time and experience with the staff and Dr. Garcia himself. I took the week off of the surgery, rested the weekend and went back to work with little to no restrictions the following Monday.
  23. I would do soup. As it is still liquid and easier to get out of your digestive tract than a piece of chicken. I cheated on my pre-op diet i had mozzerella sticks. I understand your pain......I felt like i was so hungry.
