- Post-surgery weight loss slow down
With out really knowing what your eating and what kind of exercise you are doing.... I would say change up your calories a little I've been in a two month plateau and just recently spent some time mixing it up eating a bit more a couple of days a week and then cutting way back a couple of days a week. It seems to have gotten things moving again. Oh by the way great weight loss!!!!- (cheaters) Help
Ok here comes the bully! Cheating on a diet??? Oh my yes we've all done that! BUT the after surgery "eating" plan is there for a reason it's not a typical diet. It is in place to give your stomach time to heal. Lets not forget that someone just went in the and cut and burned that sucker length wise, and then stapled it back together!!! Your stomach is still swollen and numb. And chances are you won't "feel" much in there right now. Like I said this is not cheating on a diet this is a dangerous thing to do. If you want to cheat wait until you are in the clear, trust me there will be plenty of time to cheat yourself then!- BINDER AFTER SURGERY
It's a good thing I wish I would of had one. Many people us them- Hungry after eating!?
To feel the restriction you should be eating protein dense foods. Plain bread is typically not good for the sleeve so early out but I would imagine toasted it would compact pretty easy.so still not good...- Day 3 post op...
If you don't or can't get them in curvy you are going to end up in the hospital for dehydration! You should be drinking an ounce every 15 minutes or so.. Can you not do that? I know it's kinda like a full time job in the beginning..- Started 'Couch to 5k today' Anyone keen?
- Looks vs. Health...looks 1 health 0
I know a certain Texan here that started a thread months ago asking who did this for vanity sake? So you are not alone I know that. I think all of us want to "look good" whatever that means to the individual, don't you think? That being said, I did this for health so I can be healthy, live life and get off of medications. But that doesn't mean I don't want to look my best too.- Exercise question for the VETS

Ok it's early and I'm up. I think my choices yesterday were ok but not great.. I stayed well within the fasting guide lines but for the first time since starting this I went to bed hungry! And had a really difficult time sleeping all night because of it. It's funny my last meal consisted of prawns (4) but they really didn't stick with me like a meal of Greek yogurt! But sleep. I had another thought about that #1 we need it! But # 2 I'm not as sleepy as I have been for months now I think my energy level has definitely been upped... I was not a stranger to a cat nap in the last couple of months, but realized last night I haven't been feeling sleepy at all mid day! Edit; WOW. Ok went to bed hungry, all night hungry.. Fast forward to just now I got my Greek yogurt ready, sat down to eat. 3 bites FULL? Weird, restriction has been somewhat elusive lately, but not today!- Have stalled at 6 months
You know that's because all if that running you are doing! It will even out- The 5:2 diet
Ok just recorded my daily totals I saved calories so I could eat something at the wharf I ended up having prawns (4) with a bit of cocktail sauce. Total today 461... I was down an additional pound today so it will be nice if that sticks tomorrow also. FYE you make vegetarianism look yummy!! Sweetums, yes nights are the worse for me too. I don't know if that part will ever get easy!- The 5:2 diet

- regreting this whole thing
Does your therapist specialize in body issues or bariatric patients? It might be worth finding one that does.- regreting this whole thing
Janice I must agree with LouiseC again (and you know how much I hate doing that) THERAPY! It works I have been doing it for years leading up to this and still benefit from it now after surgery...- regreting this whole thing
- 2 days post op and feel like poop! Also, have questions
I felt like **** for a week! And the second week? A little less shitty... In fact I didn't feel "normal" Until the 3rd week. Major surgery will do that to us. Be good to yourself and take the meds if you need them (I did) make sure that you walk 10 to 15 minutes out of every waking hour.- Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Yum the squid is really good there too' date=' not fried just lovely tentacles in all of their glory. I might save some calories for that tonight!! Lol!!!!- Started 'Couch to 5k today' Anyone keen?

I think this is a really hard part about losing weight... Body image. The other day I had a few minutes of feeling almost sexy because of my weight loss followed by sadness because I was unhappy with my body STILL! The fact of the matter my body is still my body. It's not going to change into someone else's body when I lose weight. I think it's not ever a good idea to try to mold yourself after a "celebrity" especially one that has every shot on tv and film carefully edited so what we see is not always reality..- regreting this whole thing
